My son has converted a 16 seater bus into a camper van. In creating the bed/seats and toilet and kitchen, he had to remove teh rear seats. It has only three seats at the front and each one has a seat belt. This means that he can only have two passengers additional to the driver. He wold not b e allowed to have people sitting in the rear bit because there are no conventional bus seats there now.Aren't all camper vans the same?

Mine slept 8 and seated 9. The double bed converted to 2 3 seater benches with seat belts and a dining table and the front took 3 people as well.

Ps it did not have a toilet though, you had to take a toilet tent with you or use campsite and public facilities.

Right, tell me if this is madness.

I'm an event manager and I've seen a lot of tacky over priced cars for weddings and there always needs to be more than one car as there are always loads of people. Its not a VW or anything, I don't even know what it is tbh...!

My bridesmaid has a camper van... what do you think if we "deck" it out as a "wedding van" - we'd not be paying out for loads of cars, one trip and then everyone's there etc... and it would be quite funny! :T

Please tell me if you think it sounds awful or MSE or just damn right odd.

We took our VW camper to our wedding in March - it was fantastic, definitely a talking point!
Thanks for the advice Martin! :money:

I LOVE this idea!! I've always thought I would have a bentley, or a cadillac, but that is sooo predictable, you're idea is fab, go for it!! Xx

I'd so love to say it's an awful tacky idea, but it's not in my nature to be cruel.

If that's what you want then that's what you should have, regardless of whether others think it's tacky or not.

I'm having a cream Daimler limo and don't give a fig if someone thinks it's tacky or predictable.

They won't be riding in it will they?

I've had a lot of happy times in a camper van, in the past............., but I'm not sure it's right for a load of wedding attendees - the most I would do (if the bride and groom are VW lovers), is to deck it out just for them.

For the bridesmaids etc., get another car.

You can tell a lot about a woman by her hands..........for instance, if they are placed around your throat, she's probably slightly upset. ;)

My friend is fine thank you, she's shaken to the bone though and just wants rid whereas her OH is saying "oh it'll fix! Don't worry!" and shes just thinking I WANT RID! There is no plan B, will sort that out closer to the time. Might ask my Dad if we can go in his mid life crisis sports car as thats rather shiny and nice but not sure I couldn't get in/out in my dress as the car is very low!
