i've spent 20 minutes waiting behind someone once in tesco paying for their shopping with vouchers, they had about £93 worth of shopping and she bought out a clear plastic wallet full of vouchers and proceeded to use them all to pay for it... her final total to pay was about £6!!!!!!
i couldn't believe it, i spoke to the checkout guy and he said you can use any vouchers to get money off your shopping even if you don't buy the actual product, so ever since i've been collecting every voucher i can get my hands on and using it to pay for my shopping!!!!
i've seen a few people doing the sameYes Your Dukeiness0 -
As I understand it, it is at the descretion of individual store managers, and also who is serving to some extent.
I once was behind a lady who paid for her shopping almost totally with coupons, but she obviously knew the assistant very well as they were having a good old chat, I'd say from the conversation that she worked with him.
I then tried to use a voucher I had won on an 'utterly butterly' competition for a free tub, and he refused it!! A supervisor came over and also said I could not use it  I was well miffed, especially after seeing all the ones she had used!0 -
Popped to Tescos tonight and it was mental!! I have never seen so many people in the store! There were so many people with coupons and very full trollys. Within 5 minutes of me being there they announced over the tanoy that in 2 mins they will not be accepting internet vouchers the store emptied within 30 seconds!
Think word of this has spread so quick it could be over before it started!
And as I walked out with a very small bag some chavy kid offered me £90's worth of vouchers for £30!!!Official DFW No*3540 -
Yes I must confirm it is at the discretion of each individual store manager whether or not they want to follow the official policy.....if your store accepts coupons great, but don't expect all of them to.0

When my twins were younger our local tesco used to accept any sainsburys coupons. Me and my friend soon learnt that there was a leaflet in sainsburys for 5.00 off your first internet shop, we used to cut off te bottom of these and they would scan them quite happily in the tesco. We used to get all of our nappies and baby milk and shopping virtually free for about three months. If you want the rainbow you have to go through the rain.
