But he and I are going to be having serious words while he's home. I 'had' to send him out some money (quite a substantial amount, especially considering he already owed me some) at the end of October, which he promised to return as soon as he got home. And then I've spent almost £60 on beer offers for him - on the understanding that would also be an immediate repayment. As I left for work I yelled up the stairs that I'd appreciate the beer money ASAP, as I had to spend £55 on a car battery on Thursday - to be informed 'we need to chat later' as he doesn't even have enough to cover the battery
So I'm going to lay on the line exactly what I'll have coming in from September, and exactly what it's all earmarked for. I shall be making it quite clear he's NOT getting any more loans from me until he's totally repaid me and not asked for any for a while...... and even then it won't be much at a time !!!Cheryl0 -
Got a phone call about 10:15am to tell me he was at M'cr Pic, and would I please pick him up. So I had to de-ice the car, creep off the estate, and drive in. Got home as mid-day was announced on the radio, so was then up against the clock to get washed, iron my uniform, and get to work by 1pm...... clocked in with 2 mins to spare
Super Mum to the rescue :A...I bet you're normally an early person, like me, and therefore find just in time stressful.

I don't blame you. Tough love is called for..hope he finds the cash...or I'd hold his beer hostage.

Hate being too 'close to the wire', but today wasn't helped with having to pick my way down the road - some very slippy sections en-route !!
Dread to think what it'll be like going in tomorrow - normally start at 7am on a Tuesday, but have been put down for a 6am start this week  Just glad I've got a cheap (but effective) torch I can take in with me, especially as they don't turn on the lights on the car park until closer to 8am..... I actually bought the torch to manage my Tuesday morning walk across it

Mr A delivered my order. So we have masses of food in. (Well compared to normal anyway. No doubt some people would think its not that much). Hoping that I dont have to buy anything much now until end of January if not early Feb, except for odds and sodds. Butter, milk, fresh vegetables etc.
Aiming to have a NSD tomorrow. (Would have today, if My order from 2 weeks ago hadnt come).
Wrapped all the presents that I managed to get. Didnt get everyone's homemade gifts done with having to look after DGD and being ill hasnt helped.
Doctor has put me on Steroids. Just intime for christmas hey!.When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -

Sorry I'm being really quiet... feeling a bit run down and bleugh! I made my (hopefully!) last supermarket shop of the year and it completely physically wiped me out...
My budget is getting really close now. It was origionally £5k but as I am so close to coming in at or under £4k I'd really love to manage that... Which means I have the grand total of £70.07 left!
I need to pay for my trip to the dentist which should be £23 which leaves me with £47.07 left for everything else  which needs to cover the cost of a birthday present too! Will hopefully get something in the sales he'll like - I'm hoping he'll give me a clue at Xmas as to what he wants!
It also appears my Xmas tree lights have died a death and I can't for the life of me find the other spare bulbs I know I have somewhere. It looks like I need to buy new lights (no-one still seems to stock the bulbs - its all wee LEDs now) and redecorate the tree as I've just had to remove the lights and a fair bit of the decs. :wall:
Anyone know where I can get cheap Xmas tree lights?
