I have the same problem, my young male dog has started barking and he has an annoying bark. Im trying everything and i think its because he is spoilt, he stays outside in a kennel with our other dog but i think he just wants attention constantly , hope he changes but ive heard male dogs bark more anyway. We have lots of dogs on our street and a chi who barks constant at its gate but theres a neighbour across from us who is quite sly and shouts when hubbys car is gone, hubby asked him was the dog annoying him and he sais no its fine but then shouted when hubby was gone again, im now selling my lovely little dog because im scared of complaints and he isnt a constant barker, gives about 10 barks in a day. I tried the aquiesse machine but its no good, i hope things improve for you because i know how your worrying and its such a terrible feeling to be nervous when your dog barks. Jem0

We had this issue with our old neighbours, it wasnt the fact that they complained that we were noisy ( apparently we flushed the toilet too often and made our beds too noisily lol) but the fact she didnt knock on our door and say do you mind doing so so as i find you too noisy.
anyway the council monitored us several times over the years and they never found anything wrong so i hope you have the same outcome.
good luck and well done for trying to fix the problem so promptly0 -
How do they monitor you for noise? that would make me paranoid . jem0

Well I guess that is the most efficient way to get rid of a problem and make a profit into the bargain.A dog with a behaviour problem needs help not punishment.0 -

we always knew when the monitor thing was in cos the lady would purposely be extra noisy, probably in the hope the council would think the noise was down to us.0 -
When I let Mia out for a wee early in the morning, or after 8ish at night, I keep her on the long lead, its one of those extendable ones so she can still have a wander round, but she knows to be quiet.£100 - £10,0000

Not about making a profit as he is gorgeous and his health and happiness is my concern, i would not give him to just anyone as the person that takes him will be vetted very much. I cant be selfish to him and try to stop him from barking because some idiot across the street hates dogs. Jem0

Okay, a tad harsh perhaps but it isn't difficult to solve a barking problem. You just need to try and understand why he is barking. In your dogs case I suspect he doesn't like being left outside and is bored. What does he have to occupy him out there? How much time does he get to spend with you?
If you really can't keep him then consider rehoming him via a rescue, a specialist breed rescue if he is a pedigree, rather than selling him.A dog with a behaviour problem needs help not punishment.0 -
we have a garden the size of a field,he plays great with our other dog and gets 3 walks a day, lots of treats and toys. He hasnt got a barking problem in my eyes, only about 10 single barks a day but he has got a squeeky bark. Its this man thats just being awkward as there are lots of dogs on the street with barking problems but our little fella hasnt. This man made my other neighbours move because he complained about them playing music ( never bothered us because it was not loud) so i think he is just a nasty person. Ten single barks a day is not noisy and the poor little thing has to bark an odd time. jem0
