If you get arrested you are entitled to a free solicitor at the police station. You should heed carefully their advice in relation to whether or not to make a no comment interview. The police will have your application form and will seek a statement from your previous employers. You don't want to end up looking obstructive by refusing to cooperate in the face of indisputable evidence. You would need to be looking at convincing them that you knew you were stupid and had decided not to go ahead with the loan anyway, which is why you hadn't done anymore about it. If you say nothing, they will assume you intended to take the fraud all the way. This will not go down well in court and you also risk being charged instead of just warned or cautioned.

They should view it very seriously. IMO, you intended to obtain money by deception and evade repaying it by claiming bankruptcy.

The bankruptcy lawws must be changed.

    :)

The police are not going to arrest you. The CPS will not be prosecuting you.

You may get a CIFAS on your credit file marked at your current address.

    Stop worrying.

You posted threads before asking whether or not you should place fraudent information on your loan applications and the responses said that you shouldn't. I hope this teaches you a lesson.

Not through lack of trying!!!! Strikes me that the OP planned on getting a huge loan and then promptly declare himself bankrupt! That is both dishonest and immoral.

    Yes, and crime doesn't pay...

My housemate works for the Government interviewing people filing for bankruptcy, checking for discrepancies in information provided, finding out how and why you're in debt and where the money went and writing reports for the Official Receiver. The OP's actions class as fraud and will see his inability to obtain further credit in the future extended from a minimum of 1 year to a potential 10 years...

In addition all assets bought with the fraudulently obtained credit will be seized by the Official Receiver.

This site is about making YOUR money go further NOT obtaining an extra income by deception.
If I don't respond to your posts, it's probably because you're on my 'Ignore' list.

Steady on - he didn't go ahead with the loan request so he has doesn't have the money, nor any goods bought with it.

However, I think this will teach you a good lesson on how not to do things. Just be thankful that you decided not to take it any further, and please write in a smaller font!!!
