I don't mind paying it back, infact I feel I should , but I can't under after I have graduated from my NEW degree
You owe £15K which sound a lot when you don't have a job. But do you really want to flush what is left of your credit rating down the toilet.
As that is what will happen. And it will exempt from from certain jobs.
Do you have a partner? And is so can they help by paying the bills so you can get your self back on track.
Pop over to the debt free wannabe. They are nice bunch of people and they will do there best to help if that is what you want.
They will want a Statement Of Affairs (SOA) in other words your income and outgoings.
All the best what every happens.

Ryan,
You are not the only one who has done that. There are a number of companies who will advertise "replacement" wage stements for people who have alledgedly "lost" their own.
I hope you learned the lesson. Do not lie, cheat, steal. Crime does not pay well not for those who get caught"A nation's greatness is measured by how it treats its weakest members." ~ Mahatma Gandhi

Hi Ryan, like others have said, well done for coming back and facing up to our posts and what you've done - it's bad but not the absolute end of the world. There are also a few offers of help over on the thread you started on the debt-free wannabe board, they can certainly help you cut back on your expenses which might make things easier, so you might want to call in over there again. There are people there with far bigger debts than yours, and they are paying/have paid them off.
I posted on that thread too, and I hope you don't think I'm following you around the boards, but just to reiterate, if you are still pursuing a professional career (you say "medicine/law/dentistry" - which?) then bankruptcy could prevent you ever being allowed to work in certain professions, so do think carefully about this. Fraud will, of course, have the same effect, but that's not something you have much control over any more I'm afraid.
You mentioned on one of your threads that you have a partner earning £30k, so if this is true can she help at all? Also bear in mind that whilst central London is expensive, your rent at £400/month is lower than mine in zone 2 so actually you don't have that bad a deal for London!
And do talk to your student welfare office at university, that's what it's for.0 -

your career as a gigalo

yeah, Channel 4 sure seems to think you're stupid for declaring bankruptcy: http://www.channel4.com/4money/banking/guides/bankruptcy_guide_081003.html
I didn't say which of those 3 degrees I was doing - I don't want to give away too many details on a public forum. It's definately one of those three ..0 -

Are you joking? A five second search of the forums reveals dentisty in previous posts and now pharmacy.
Anyway, hope you don't mind me asking as it is slightly off topic, but how did you find dentistry? I've been told that the first couple of years are difficult but it gets easier when the practical work starts.
I've been thinking about retraining for the last year or so and it's top of my list.0 -
If you already have other loans/debts, it is generally unwise to take out yet another one with all of the promises attached to it. They go on for EVER and you will be paying more interest, over the extra years. Get some proper debt counselling. There are plenty of links on this site. If you are determined to "do it alone" then find out the interest rates on your credit cards and loans and tackle them one at a time, paying off the ones with the highest rates. There are lots of experiences and advice on debtfree wannabe and other links. Borrowing more money to pay off old debts is a downward spiral. Don't be lulled into a false sense of security by the likes of celebritieslike Carol Vordermann etc, advertising these loans.Annual Grocery budget 2018 is £1500 pa £125 calendar month £28.84 pw for 3 adults0

I hate those patronising Picture it! Ads on the tele - the bloke and his wife playing with the video camera, just casually borrowing ... £25,000 to consolidate debts... oh and why not throw in a holiday (nb - loan secured on their home so the company doesn't give a F***!)0
