Oh, Dawn! Well done and I wish you lots of luck. Such a good cause; it's very very sad that you lost your Mum so recently but such a great tribute to her.

ISOM - thanks for that. I will get the 201 book and the flower book, now that I've learned that they'll deliver to France! I'm getting really excited and I haven't even ordered them yet!

    mornin

was nice and sunny earlier but seems to have gone a bit dull now, never mind at least its dry

I did an hour's ironing in the finish yesterday, still can't see the bottom of the basket but I'm getting there ;)

Had the Art of Crochet delivery yesterday, goodness knows why I started collecting it but the throw tempted me it looked so unusual :o I'll give it another few issues and cancel it I think.
Really did'nt need it because the 200 Blocks book is better, I have done quite a few from there, a couple for Granny Do and a couple for Mrs Twins wonderful blankets.

Thank you all for your kind thoughts for my neighbour :A it was the funeral yesterday PM, I am sad to say I did'nt go as this flu/cold is being very persistent and will not clear up.... so I will give it a couple more days then do as Kathy said and go see the Doc.

DON - :j:T what great news for you and your's a little pink bundle of love.
f1 - awww how lovely is your DS. hope you can sort the school run out soon that is another worry you don't need.
kathy - I have both the flowers and the blocks books, havent done many flowers but have used the blocks book quite a lot, there are sooo many lovely ones in there. My favourite is the Water Lily I did for DO and Mrs Twins. I have 3 Bazaar books with all sorts of stuff in, one day I will start at the beginning and go right through, exept for the loo roll ladies ;) Meant to say yesterday your squares are lovely, nice colours.
BTW Keep meaning to ask you, how's your Mum???
PTB - good for you :T thats a lovely thing to do, my DIL1 is doing it this year too for the first time, so is a friend of mine.
shaz - glad you had a good sleep last night, just what you need x
YOO HOO:hello: Jean and Chalky hows it going ladies?

I keep hearing about the Oxfam jumper must have missed the pattern somehow, can one of you lovely ladies post a link please :)

Talking books and patterns, I would love to have a double lifetime to get through all my unread books and untried knitting and crochet patterns.

Lappy battery is running low so better switch off for a bit, the charger is in the kitchen and OH is talking to someone in there so don't want to interupt.

    Back later I hope

pippa - here is the link for the jumper http://lovinghands.freeforums.org/oxfam-jumper-pattern-tl283.

The link does not seem to have worked when I uploaded message so will re type it
    http://lovinghands.freeforums.org/oxfam-jumper-pattern-tl283

Hope this has worked - I was reading somewhere else on another site that some knitters had thought they needed to be longer in the body of course I carried on and finished it forgetting this and think now on looking at it that yes it could do with being longer in the body (i did the smallest size) so maybe you might want to add a few inches on the the length before starting sleeve - what does anyone else think???
Oh and by the way I did all in garter rather than knit and rib except for the detail around the neck just to indicate where neck is for sewing up. (IFYKWIM!)

By the way a big :T for you on the i*****g - I cant face one minute at the moment let alone one hour or half for that matter

    Hugs to all Jaqui xxxx

Morning all, hope you are all ok today.
May, sorry I missed your birthday :bdaycake:hope you had a nice day.
Mioliere, your chalky squares are so nice, mine are all plain yet. I really like the colours you’ve chosen for your chair they go together so well. I have the flowers book and it’s amazing! I’ve only made a few yet, but I’m fairly new to crochet and need to learn a few techniques yet before I try some of the hard ones out. The 200 crochet blocks is good too, but after reading ISOM’s post I want to get the 201 motifs as well!
Isom and shezmit, hope your mums are ok.
PIppa, hope you’re feeling better, you seem to have had that cold for ages. So sorry to hear about your neighbour too.
F1, hope you feel better very soon. Well done on finishing the Oxfam jumper, they seem to take ages to me too.
Don, congratulations! You now have an excuse to splurge on pink wool!
Psso, hope things look up for you this week. It must be so stressful, with one thing after another.
Sock knitter, my thoughts and prayers are with you. What a nightmare you must be going through. I hope all the tests come through ok for your boys.

Been busy sorting out plants this last week and visiting DB in Stratford, so not got much woolly stuff done. One of my wip’s is an attic 24 bag for a lady that lives near me who admires mine every time I see her, and a ripple shopping bag as I still miss my ripple blanket. I should go and pot on my fuchsias now while the sun is out.

Sending (((hugs))) to all the mia’s and anyone feeling down or poorly
    Love to everyone
