    Good morning everyone.

Jaqui - glad you are safely moved in and hope you feel settled soon. Having a garden is a real pleasure - let's hope the weather improves so that you can really enjoy it! Thanks for your words of support about my visitors having to leave - it's been difficult for the last few days but I shall look forward to their next visit now and that will keep me going!

Elaine - hope little one is feeling better now. It's such a worry when they're not well, isn't it?

Jean - hope your trip is going well. Are you there yet?

Maytaurus - I truly wish I could knit or crochet a cure for you. M.E. is so debilitating - I think you do really well to cope with it, and to find the time to search out such lovely links and pictures to share with us. I hope you have a good day today.

Chalky - yes, I think it is Old Father Time catching up with me! I've felt really weary but I'm sure it's to do with all the work on the house over the past weeks and I was also anxious that the house was safe and clean enough for Summer, so I got a bit paranoid about the dust that had been created and had to clean every square inch of the house before they arrived! Then I dragged DH around to point out and fix any danger areas - it was a worry because we have hard floors here (laminate and tiles) and the baby is used to fitted carpets, so I was very anxious about that, too, along with other things.

Tootifrooti - well done on your first Chalky square!

Well, I'm feeling a bit more motivated today after a few days of feeling not up to much. I have a few chores to do today and hope that I can get back into my crocheting later. I tried to get on with a square last night but was soon dozing off! I need to get the update done, and I want to post on my blog because that has been neglected, too. I'm also proof-reading a friend's book and have neglected that, too, and it's off to the publishers this month, so I really must get that done!

It's not helped that it's been quite cold here for the last two days - I'm not going to complain; we had brilliant weather last week which meant we could take DS2 and his family out and about. It would not have been so nice this week.

Anyway, off for a cuppa then I'll start on the update.

    Have a great day, everyone.

Hi, it's me again. I was going to do the update but I'm not sure whether Jean updated up until the day she left, so I have emailed her and will wait to hear back before I do anything.

morning all, busy day here, got so much to do before i meet up with some friends (one of whom i have not seen for 6 years) for lunch - really looking forward to it.

unfortunately the oxfam (crocheted) jumper bug has bitten me hard and i am nearly through my next one (with a matching beanie of course) - i still have not sewn anything up. i bet that Emma from Algerian Action thinks that i am all talk and no send - i had better pull up my socks and get stuff done. oh well, i have to sit at home tomorrow and wait for a phone call, not sure what time it is coming, so there is no excuse (unless i think really hard).

may, lovely to see you, i will work on a crocheted cure - just give me a bit of time.

kathy, hope you are feeling a little better today.

isom and shaz - hope that your mums are feeling a bit better.

f1 - well done on the move - persevere with the oxfam jumper, they are worth it (just sooooo easy and so little sewing up).

hugs to everyone who needs them.

    Good morning everyone,
mayturus please don't apologise for the links, I for one enjoy the abyss. I know what you mean about things like 'make this in two hours', always takes me a lot longer and I've been crocheting for more years than I care to remember. You can bet your boots that s soon as I get started the phone will ring, and if it's my sister we cwn natter for two hours or more about nothing, must get a speaker phone so that I can crochet at the same time. I really wish I could make you a cure, do you take any 'alternative' mediction, my nephew tried that but it didn't work, he's not as bad as you though. Hope the famuly are as well as they can be, take care of yourself ((hugs)).

psso it's horrid when a baby is poorly, I hope he's a little better. Glad it's not me with the nappies. You lucky girl, all those plants! Hope you have a good day.

f1 yes of course we've missed you and of course you're excused because of moving. Pleased to hear it went ok, do you like the house? Is DS happier now?

    ISOM how's mum today?

Shez I know you're busy, how are your family, especially your mum?

sock-knitter you sound a little happier, hope that's true and family are all feeling better.

Love to everyone, hope the sun shines for you all. xxx

    Morning everyone

Have been having a bit of a rush (a gentle one :o) on Chalky squares here. I've been putting them together to get ready to send and realised they are all a bit girly colourwise so have been trying to redress the balance. I'm really enjoying doing them because in true lappy style, I'm mainly using bits and bobs and while my squares alone won't really go together I know Chalky will turn them into something lovely along with other squares she gets. Perfect!
Well done on the move Jaqui. Hopefully the weather will perk up for you to enjoy the garden.
What a kind neighbour Elaine. I'm glad the pottering brought back happy memories.
Thank you for the links and pics May.
Hugs to those that need them. I'm off to find my crochet book which has no doubt been "tidied away" again.....

Evening all - can't believe no posts all day! You must all be very busy. Just arrived bak in Cardiff for brief visit to check on house and visit old friend in hospital whose cancer has reoccurred. Chemo this time so have arranged to hire car to pop over on Thursday.
Rural change of scene has been great but has unfortunately coincided with a dip in my health so have spent a lot of time feeling very tired and achy. Will rest up tomorrow and hopefully will be able to drive the day after. Also have a phone consult with Dr on THurs, so maybe he will adjust meds and that will help.
Which leads me to my all to regular confession of no knitting!

hello me lovelies...what a day! Poor mum has been struggling as still not well and growing lasty bugs in her lung so may be in up to a month...also very weak, pale and generally frustrated. This meant the cats were an issue as day to day feeding wouldnt be good over two onths or so; desperate hunt for someone to care for them and lodger has agreed to foster them on a trial basis...mum and I breathed a sigh of relief although on the condition I rehome her coi carp!!
Am doing a cat blanket (crochet) at the hospital so at least DOING something although its still curvy (like me lol!)...have resorted to a glass or two of wine so wont get much else done today lol!
Psso hope the little man gets better soon..ikky nappies eugh plus horrible to see them with cramps etc...
sock knitter beware nitol as IMo they are addictive and you get into a vicious cycle...alcohol can make a difference (ie not having it!) as can getting a definate bed time routine; not watching scary things/using mind too much the hour before bed to wind down etc...its a mare though and my sympathies are with you - Im hopeless without sleep!
