Good Morning/afternoon everybody-- Our new home is still buzzing with excitement I see. Glad kitten is settling what joy she will bring you and what a lovely Mum you have got x
Well I can only say WE DO NOT know how to travel light !!! The sunshine Bus is packed to the rafters-- and No its not all wool !!
Anyway I send love to all and I must get on with the ironing!!
Kinsey That link is lovely winter projects in Spain I think.
Thanks for having a look at the blog. Kathy I am not a builders mate at the same time as trying to set it up. Your house is going to be amazing. I was amazed and chuffed to bits to be mentioned in dispatches on Attic24 !! Started a ripple blanket a while back- what a lot of "hooking" but I am getting into the swing of it!
I wish I had been a window dresser in Laura Ashley and had an knstinctive feel for colours. I go go be undecided about my choices but generally fell happier when I see them in the morning-- They are not getting picked out!
Right must look as if I am doing something productive !!Try and do a good deed every day.0 -
SGT start with these then do your own thing with the finishing off.

Chalky - Safe journey!
Have a great weekend everyone 'Money and good health is coming easily to Flypeople'0 -
Chalky - I am over-awed and truly impressed at your personal mention by the crochet guru, but then your blankets and blog are so lovely, you deserve it! Good luck with all the prepping for your return to Spain - hope everything goes smoothly. I know you said it's not all wool, but I bet a lot of it is, isn't it? I've been turning out my stash this morning, trying but failing to minimise how much there really is, but I do love seeing it all just sat there - I must take some photos of it. DH will think I've gone round the bend, but everyone here will understand, won't they? I have had to admire boxes of screws and new power tools, so he can admire my wools!
Anyway, I've mioliered on here and left the tea too long in the pot, so I'd better go and pour it.

Hi, everyone. I'm a newbie on the MSE boards and I'm a knitter (same user name on Ravelry btw).
Just wanted to say the the new issue of Simply Knitting, November 09 has an extra free gift exclusive to Sainsbury's. It's a 25g ball of yarn & free pattern for wrist warmers from the little knitting company. Buy it anywhere else and the mag only has 2 free shawl pins.
I thought the free yarn might be useful for charity knitters, or knit the wrist warmers for an 'emergency' Xmas gift.
This issue also has the 'official' Alan Dart Pudsey Bear pattern to support Children in Need.0 -
Hi Apollonia and a warm welcome to you. Thank you so much for the info; I'm sure a lot of knitters here will be interested in the magazine's freebies and the Alan Dart pattern. Please feel free to join us here - we love newbies and you will receive a very warm welcome from everyone!

I need some help!
Spent the day at a knitting show and I was very good:A....But I saw a scarf that I want to knit, the pattern only came as part of a kit and it cost £62:eek:. The lady on the stand said it was using a twisted drop stitch. I have searched the internet but have found anything that looks like it. I am sure one of you clever people will know who to do it. Pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeease.
