girls, girls...really lowering the tone again!! I dont know...twice in a day as well!! Madam is currently having a lovely 5 mins race round (hopefully will sleep tonight!)...gave up on knitting so hooking instead as she just looooves the needles and wool and the two moving togeather is amazing! Alas, despite saying go ahead and get cat when asked, lodger now tells me she is terrified of kittens (followed by loud screams)....would have been good to know that before. She may give me notice but tbh I am patient to a point plus neighbor downstairs has complained about her door slamming...Isoki currently getting to know what was a spider plant by taking a running leap at it!!

    Hi All
    Congrats Shaz - gorgeous bling!
Glad you got your cat ISOM.
Thanks for the patterns May and Kinsey.
Good to see you back posting Mrs MP - hope things are better for you now.
Pam, you are a blinkin' star :A. Thankyou for your help with the pattern. I have a round to rip back and then I can get on and finish it - it's a hat to go with my manly scarf for LH. Will try to do some pics tomorrow. Love the mushroom addition to your house too! Glad you had a lovely visit with your Mum.
Well done on the honourable mention Chalky, I will check that out tomorrow also. Nearly time for you to go sun-chasing again - lucky you!
Mioliere, your second job as builder's mate is obviously taking a toll on your crochet - start campaigning for better pay and conditions!
    Night all x

Hi Maytaurus - not up late lat night, just up early this morning! I just can't seem to stay asleep for long these days! I don't mind the extra peace and quiet here to surf the net and knit, but it means I have to have a doze later in the day! There's been a lot of DIY going on here lately and perhaps the paint fumes and plaster dust are affecting me - I wake up all sniffly. Thanks for your kind words about my blog - I'm not up to Chalky's standards yet, but I'm trying! She even got a mention on Attic24 -I'm very impressed with that! Our sunshine and blue skies are a bit thin on the ground this week, I'm afraid. There's a hint of autumn here now. I even felt compelled to go out and buy some new slippers - I've never seen such a choice in the shops! They must have around forty different styles to choose from. DH reckons it's a sign of just how cold it will get! The prices ranged from €5 to €25 a pair - I fancied a very expensive pair but, being MSE, I bought some for €9 and they are lovely. As the temperature can sink to minus 15 here in the winter, I need to be sure I can keep my feet warm. The winters here are colder than in the UK, but a lot shorter. DH has gone insulation-crazy in the house, so hopefully we won't suffer too much.

DS2 and DIL Skyped last night and held my DGD, Summer, up for me - she's smiling a lot now and really melted my heart. She'll be eight weeks old on Monday - the time has really flown by. She's doing really well and looks full of beans. DIL has recovered well and doesn't look like she had a baby just a few weeks ago. I'm longing to cuddle Summer for real, so we are working out when we can make another trip back.

Anyway, love the zebra crossing! I like unusual things like that.

    Have a good day.
