What a day, we have done nothing but run around all day, managed a quick nip in here earlier but then out we went again.

Did both the Mum's shopping, stocked up the freezer, went to the B.Soc,popped into poundland, went to the local smash and grab and bought some wool ....only a couple of balls though ;)..... and I finally got the beady eyes for my penguin, I went everywhere I could think of and found all colours but not black, called in at the drycleaners and there they were :T she has just started stocking all sorts of crafty things, including wool  I'm gonna have to keep away until I've used some of my stash up,

Shelley - parcel sent to you today with a little extra towards the postage.

Maytaurus - thanks for the kind words x.Your posts just get better and better. Its always nice to see you back we miss you when you're not here

Elaine - Parcel sent to you today as well, I put a scarf in I finished yesterday, as its getting colder I thought it might be a good idea :D

Pam - loved the poem, scarf is lovely I've added the pattern to my favourites....another to do one.....;)

PTB - :wave:nice to see you back

I have done 2 ripple blankets a 2 stripe and a 4 stripe, not so keen on the four stripe I do like it but think the 2 looks better, may be because I used about more colours.

me too, me too :j:jI'm a bookworm, David Eddings, James Patterson(he's sometimes a bit  though)Terry Pratchett, Gill Mcneil (divas dont knit) and Alan Titchmarsh (for light reading,if you have'nt read it try Rosie) Knitting, Crochet, Gardening, Cookery, Natural Remedies, Patchwork, books about all sorts.
When DS1 and 2 were younger they read some books by John Christopher it was The White Mountains trilogy so good I could'nt put them down.
I went through a time when I was never seen with out a book in my hand, nowadays it's more likely to be needles and a ball of wool:rotfl:

Ah well I am off to do another Penguin, I am getting quite fond of them.
Sorry about the long post :o
    Anne

Its taken me ages to do this had a phone call in the middle which lasted half an hour

    Hi Maytaurus

Hope you are having a good day. I wonder who was up the earliest this morning? I woke up at around 2.30am, tried to go back to sleep but just had to get up to have a cuppa and have been awake ever since! Still, I've managed to update my blog with some photos, so I've not wasted the time!

The pattern links are wonderful - I've been looking for a panda pattern for ages; pandas are my DGD's favourite animals, so thanks for that, although she probably won't get it until next Christmas! I love the elephants, especially the circus one, and the lovely baby cardi. I don't know where you find all the patterns but we are all glad you do! I did do a bit too much yesterday, I must admit! The thing is that DH has been working on the house all week and the dust he makes, which I know is unavoidable, gets to a stage where it really annoys even me, and then I go on a mad damp-dusting spree. He does try to seal things off but dust will always find a way, won't it? It made me tired but I was happy just to look at shiny clean surfaces again!

I'm going to try your advice about Imageshack - I've never been able to post photos on here, but will have a go in a minute!

ISOM - I'm glad the knitting group went well. Five is really good for a first meeting; good luck with building it up in the future and please keep us up to date with it!

    See you all later.

Hey, Maytaurus - it worked! First of all the picture was too big, so I went back to Imageshack and found that I could resize it and, hey presto - my first ever photo on MSE! Thank you, thank you, thank you - you truly are a star!

The photo is the ripple blanket I'm making for DGS for Christmas. I realised last night that I had made a mistake on the second row, so I had to start it again.
