No excuse but i blame the pregnancy hormones and the few days remaining to the wedding.

Oh I remember pregnancy hormones well, I once sat on the floor in floods of tears after dropping the milk carton. Prompting (now ex) hubby to quip about crying over spilt milk. (he only hung on to his 'privates' cos I was too large to get up quick enough!!) :D
:rotfl:Ahahah got my signature removed for claiming MSE thought it was too boring :rotfl:
  • Thanks - will let the petti finish the blow about and whip out the camera lol

Linda - it was by coincidence i counted - i count everything with my little girl now to get her to pick it up - lol

Don't be daft, we're all entitled to have a meltdown at times.

I have to say though that I am quite impressed with the reply you got.

Whilst it's not what I would have replied with (have spent years dealing with customers and complaints etc and I'm far more professional that that), you kind of have to admire Anne's (whoever she is) balls.

I thought her reply was wholly appropriate given the original email that you sent which was really quite ridiculous with your "independent verifier" remarks etc. She must own the business as it doesn't sound like she cares about any reporting line.

In the very least, hopefully a lesson in complaint writing has been learned ;) keep it calm and keep it factual rather than trying to glam it up.

As for hormones - if you think you're a mess now, wait until a week or after the birth, you'll be a tired blob of blubbering mess :p

So are you sending it back then?

Edited to say: The petticoat I meant......not the baby!

Then just say that you took it to a bridal shop and they had said it wasn't right. Just like that. In English like a normal person.

Your original email to them made you sound like some jumped up kid who has no idea of how to speak with people.

Which is why you got such a rude reply back.

I can assure you that if you had been more adult in your approach with them, you would have probably had a suitable replacement with you today (I know I would have had).
