Just read it again, it took 6 days to get to you ~ what's so bad about that?!

You do know that in parts of the country there are postal strikes don't you?

Sheesh, have some patience! Normally I would agree with you, but you are not giving them any chance to help before jumping in at the deep end.

  • Having spoken to the company before even placeing an order - delivery was discussed - as item is needed for this weekend for final run through for next weekend - had been reasured it would be with me in 2-4 days tops, order was discussed as i am very wary of ordering anything i can not physicaly see first - and was very much acknowledged.

So the comments regarding the email being rude, not leaving reviews etc - i think you would be slightly peeved had it been yourself.

Did you pay extra for Special delivery? If not, then Yes they might have told you 2-4 days, but once it's out of their hands, they can't control the postal service, so 2 days later than that considering the strikes is pretty good!

The email is rude , instead of saying that you think maybe there is a mixup and could someone check and help, you've basically said their service is crap, which, if it were me, I wouldn't be willing to help at all.

If the petticoat was needed for this weekend and you received it yesterday which is Tuesday, what is the problem??

I know you're probably stressed with the wedding being so near, but you're coming across as being a complete bridezilla ;)

  • Hi MissK

Did you need the item for a certain date, were they aware of the importance if you did?

Unless it was needed for certain date then 6 days to me is fine, as someone else said there are postal strikes all over the country.

My OH ordered a watch off Ebay over 10 days ago and delivery of that was supposed to be 6 days but we're leaving it 2 wks before we get in touch with the seller due to the strikes.

I work in complaints and would have recommended you first send a nice email and then if you get no joy you then get stroppy. A snooty email from the start will just get their backs up if it was just a genuine mistake.

    Just my 2penneth worth.
  • I do appreciate all the replies ladies - and i apologise if i have come over "bridezilla" (i hate that word)

No excuse but i blame the pregnancy hormones and the few days remaining to the wedding.

Possibly instead of emailing after being upset/angry an so on i should of asked opinions on here first -

Any way - for those interedted - her is the reply i recieved.

I am very surprised by your email. The petticoat is as described by Jupon and while we have not actually counted every layer of net in every petticoat we sell we describe them on our site the same as Jupon describe them to us. This can be seen on Jupon’s website. We have sold many of these petticoats at this great price and have never had a complaint before. As to the size. The size described fits 10 – 16. If this was not suitable why not ask for a different size? It is as described. We offer smaller, larger, longer, shorter sizes. I am surprised by all the independent bodies who have apparently been measuring the petticoat and counting layers of net especially since the petticoat arrived this morning? You must have been have been very busy. I presume all these independent bodies are petticoat experts and sizing experts and am very impressed that between receiving this item and sending your email you managed to gather in all this wealth of experience. I am also very surprised that you express ‘disgust’ and find this a very extreme word to use and do wonder exactly what are your motives. The petticoat may not have eight layers of net and this is obviously an error by Jupon and we will check this with them and modify the site accordingly. All other sites and shops selling this petticoat describe it as we do because this is how we have it described. You received the petticoat today well in time for your deadline so I do not see what your problem is with the delivery times. A couple of days ago we received an email thanking us for our service so we are most certainly wondering why on earth you are looking for things to complain about. And why on earth you found it necessary to gather your experts around you to count layers of net and decide that ‘the sizing was wrong’. If you changed your mind which you obviously have why go to all these lengths. Unfortunately because of hygiene reasons we do not offer refunds on lingerie.
    Regards
    Anne

Oh dear, looks like you have got Anne's back up

If I were you (not saying you should, but it's just if it were me), I would email back and apologise for flying off the handle, but you are pregnant and stressed so just fired off the first thoughts in your head.

Even though it's not what you are saying you wanted, will it be OK with your dress??

Is the petti too tight across the waist or is it too big? I know it says 10-16, but are petticoats like some makes of wedding dresses where they can come up smaller or bigger than a usual dress size?

i actually think thats a fair reply to the original email :o

perhaps if the email you had sent them had been a little nicer in tone they would have been a little more helpful. i know from working face to face with customers that if they are nice to me and not rude, i am more spurred on to help them...

  • I think i may have - slightly lol

I never stated in my first email that i had changed my mind about the petti - it was an email expressing the annoyance of mis-advertised products - lateness and sizing ann being out. (or be it a mistake)

I would rather know if somone was unhappy with a serives/product i supplied so i can adjust and do things a little different.

The petti is not a 10-16 by any means - it is very small - and even my size 12 bridesmaid struggled to get this on - with a quick wizz on the sewing machine from good old mother it would fit.

The petti is not as "puffy" as desired so now having to buy another.

just feels like a pointless excersise. lol

You're complaining because it's not as puffy as you'd like it to be, yet you're willing to pay half the amount of the cost for one. You were already told by Linda on the other thread that they sell trade price for about £90, you've managed to find one for £70.

Sounds a bit dodgy to me.

  • Nevermind MissK these things happen! Hormones are the strangest things even when one is not preggers lol, iv never been pregnant (nor do I want to be!!) but I can imagine they are a nightmare.

Hope it all works out in the end but if the product is not as described I would insist that they accept it back and send out the correct one.

    Good luck xxxx
