Not been on here as much lately, there just dosn't seem to be enough hours in the day and once i'm on here I find that suddenly 3 hours have gone by without me noticing and nothing else gets done so i've been trying to limit my time on here. Everything is going according to plan, been really good with the not smoking, i did have a blip on Friday night when I'd had a really stressfull day in work and smoked 3 when I finished work but to be honest I didn't enjoy them at all and was really annoyed with myself but I have been back on the straight and narrow over the weekend and I am taking it one day at a time. Moneywise I'm doing ok, I have allowed myself £20 a week for personal spends and now that i'm not smoking I am finding it dead easy to stick to.
I need to be more disaplined when it comes to grocery shopping, I set a budget of £150 this month and I have spent £135 already, I do have enough food to last the month and will just need milk, bread ect but I just need to resist spending my entire months budget in one go.
Treated myself on Sat to a cut and coulour, It really needed doing and I couldn't face doing the coulour myself so decided to use the card and pay a bit extra of it next month, not exactly mse but it has made me feel and look a million times better so money well spent. also i used to go to the hairdressers once a month now its once every 3 months so I can justify it that way.
I have decided that one of my new years resolutions is going to be to get OH to have his LBM. Things would be so much easier if he was on board too...cc & o/d debts 4/2/11 - 12209.

Hi BP - just catching up with your diary and I can't believe how positive you are sounding these days! I used to be like you with the grocery budget so now I allocate a set amount for a big shop once a month and then four smaller amounts for weekly spends. It's working a lot better for me now. Hope you can get your OH on board, it would be much better for you as you say.
Good luck with the debt-busting!I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0 -

Try dividing the grocery budget up, somehow. I used to allow money on payday for the big shop and things like cleaning stuff, and then a set amount each week for food. Its easier to manage for a week, and you don't feel as bad if you have a budget of £25 from Saturday and spend it all by Monday, than you would if you had £120 and spent it all in 2 weeks. You can usually manage with what you have in for a few days but 2 weeks is stretching it a bit.
Well done on the giving up smoking. That will start to make a difference.Debts at LBM - Mortgages £128497 - non mortgage £27497 Debt now £[STRIKE]114150[/STRIKE][STRIKE]109032[/STRIKE] 64300 (mortgage) Credit cards left 0

Glad to see you back with some goals, but..... shouldn't number 10 be number 1?????
Try to get in the habit of coming on here every day, it will stop you drifting too far off course. Most people have fallen of the wagon a bit, but are getting themselves back in the swing now.Debts at LBM - Mortgages £128497 - non mortgage £27497 Debt now £[STRIKE]114150[/STRIKE][STRIKE]109032[/STRIKE] 64300 (mortgage) Credit cards left 0
