Ruby thats a real shame. My parents never spent time with me but have to say didnt really miss it. We didnt live anywhere near any other kids as we were in Berlin and lived in army quarters (dad taught forces kids) of a family housebut not near anyone with children so I tended to spend time reading which is what made me happiest.

Sorry for your loss bargainbird. My thoughts are with you and your family. x

    Afternoon all.

Bargainbird I am so sorry for your loss. Life can be so unfair at times.

NPM I can sympathise - I have a veritable phobia about debt, and had a very "interesting" time getting Mr LW's finances sorted out when I first moved in with him, including kicking his parasite of an ex into touch. I agree with the idea of asking the wedding venue to reschedule for you, say a year on.

Mioliere your kitten reminded me of one of my canine guests, Peggy Sue. She would politely touch my leg whenever she needed to go out to the garden. :D

Back to window cleaning today - Mr LW allegedly cleaned the outsides of the patio door and adjoining window at the weekend, but he left them all streaky and it was driving me nuts. The top six inches or so isn't too good, as I'm not very tall, and I'm not safe climbing on things now, but at least I can see out properly now.:p It's a lovely day in Concrete Cow Country, so hopefully the washing I put in the WM overnight (and the handwashed bits done this morning) will dry in the sunshine.:o

((((HUGS)))) to all who want/need one today.
