Just have a look at the Home section of their website.0 -

It only says one per TRANSACTION not per person- but who here has managed to use more than one voucher (and been alone)?
One woman in Oxford St store today was INCREDIBLY rude to me when i tried to redeem one voucher for a £5 item. She said I had to spend more than a fiver to get £5 off. I said it says no min spend and she argued with me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Whatever happened to the customer is always right?? She then started to mumble - "I wish they'd stop these stupid vouchers!!!!" I may go back and complain...Does ne1 know if staff are allowed to use this offer? I doubt it...:rotfl:(only laughing at her of course!)
When the rude assistant put the card through the till it worked- but she still didnt apologise.
Moral of the story: fight ur corner!!! dont worry what the staff say: read the voucher!

The Oxford Street store were also very rude to me when I went this evening to claim the £5 voucher (before I had chosen my goodies). However, another lady in front of me was (who was paying) argued that the vouchers were for £5 and under, and that she should could purchase legitimately. The staff looked shifty and started muttering at one another when we joined forces and agreed. However, some of the other staff were more than happy to agree that the heat diffuser (see below) was good value on the voucher, so I guess it's horses for courses.
There's not that much that I could actually find that was under £5 in the Oxford Street store. A few brightly coloured mugs, a single egg poacher, some small plates, a rice bowl, some ramekin bowls and a salt and pepper pot. I found some saucers, but not much good without the cups! Eventually, I opted for a heat diffuser that you can put on gas or electric cookers to keep something hot once the heat has been turned off, which cost £6. It will make a great Christmas present for somebody, and seemed to be quite a good deal for only £1. If anybody else found anything (other than a flannel) that they think would make a good Christmas pressie, let me know, as I've some friends who might be interested in the vouchers.----

I agree that some of the staff there were nice but that one woman...grr! All MSE'ers need to stick together! Glad you found something good :T I got a pretty glass! Not brilliant but useful and free! Oh and I realised on the voucher it says - offer not open to staff- no wonder she was bitter!0 -
Just a wee warning, Ive just noticed that a lot of the stuff in the home section has now been reduced (Im talking in the last few hours) online, so look like a lot of things you wont be able to use the voucher with!! The voucher says not in conjunction with any other offer... ie: something that was £6 is now £5.40.... not much of a sale and a pretty obvious attempt to avoid losing money with this voucher!
Ill be going in tomorrow to try a couple of vouchers...
***edit*** just noticed the sales only for 2 days... will just go in over the weekend to use the vouchers.0 -
Hi, I successfully used the vouchers twice this morning. I followed the the link and all I had to do was fill in my name and email address, click submit and the voucher appeared. i only logged in one but printed two copies. I went into Metro Centre house of Fraser to use it. I handed the form over on the lighting department and filled out the back f the gift card she gave me. I did put 2 different names and addresses on the back just incase.
It took me forever to pick something as there wasn't alot in store that i would have wanted for £5. I ended up buying an item for £8 that was a Christmas present. I had no problem using it, they just took £5 off the total.
My mum then tried to buy an item for £4.99 (Christmas shortbread tin) and the girl was a little bit stroppy and said "you can only use them for Linea products, it should read House of Fraser own brands". This is definitley not true but i tried to stand my ground for a bit but she seemed very annoyed and i walked away. (jealousy that Staff can't use them probably).
I went back an hour later and ended up buying the same item again (same as original item) for someone else. I made sure i went to the bedding (home) department to pay and picked an assistant who was in her 60's and i felt might not be as stroppy. This was the first voucher she had used but she had a printed step by step sheet of how to enter it on the system and she accepted it no problem. This item was NOT a linea product! lol. I have logged on again to the site this evening and put in a different email address and printed 4 more colour vouchers. I would suggest print in colour, look online at ideas before you go, know the T&C before you get to the till, stand your ground and pick a friendly sales assistant without a chip on her shoulder. And remember you only have to be quick to collect your voucher, you have until 30th November 2009 to spend it once you've got it. It cannot be spent on any sale items though.
Sorry for the long message.
Happy bargain hunting. :j0
