Afternoon all,
Struggling to keep my budget in check at the moment, but DH is doing well keeping an eye out for bargains -getting him well trained:D Bought 18 T Rolls for £5 in MrC yesterday -good brand sorry can't remember which. Also they seem to have had good offers on choccies for xmas over the past couple of weeks, this may be only local I suppose but could be nationwide. I will sort out my November budget asap, it looks as if I am going to come in over my annual budget, but considering what I would normally have spent over the year (around £3000) I think it's going to be considerably less than that, so I will be very pleased:jSealed Pot Challenge 7 Member 022 :staradmin:staradmin:staradmin

I was hoping not to spend anything else until pay day on Tuesday but there is not enough fruit to keep my half man/half fruit bat DH going until then and only enough dog food for the two dogs for tonight.
I will wait until tomorrow to visit Mr S and try and keep under a fiver.
I have done an online shop with Mr T for pay day but I keep going in and taking stuff off as I want to keep it under £100 as we need stuff from costco in November.

I've spent my last tenner on a sample pack of raw cat food for Noah, but as it's 3kg that should mean I have enough cat food for the whole of November as I got loads of dry freebies this month.
I'd like to be put down for £100 in November please as I will need a massive bag of cat litter and/ or a bulk order of washing power and fabric conditioner - I'm pretty sure the last lot lasted two of us eight months tho.Declutterbug-in-progress.⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️0 -
Hi everyone - well I didn't make it to the shops today with my very small shopping list, think I'm coming down with something so couldn't face going out - at least that's another NSD.;)
I've got enough fruit & veg to keep everyone happy until I can pop out to the shops tomorrow.
Dinner tonight is Delia Smith's Cornish Pasty Pie, shall serve it with Carrots, mash and lots of Gravy. No pudding for the family tonight as I've just not had the energy today but have taken some Courgette Muffins out of the Freezer to pacify them.
Have a good evening everyone.;)"WASTE NOT, WANT NOT!"GC for OH, myself, DD18 & DD16 includes Toiletries, cleaning stuff & Food.

I’ve done the big shop for ‘November’ & it’s come in at £67.36. I allow half of the month’s budget for this shop, to stock up on the non-perishables & non-food items plus the first week’s fresh.
And I am now very well stocked up. The freezers seem to be permanently full, with batch cooked HM ready meals & whoopsies bought as & when I see them. But the fridge & larder are also stuffed now – I do like the feeling when I have fully stocked stores! Though DD thinks I should join the tinned tomatoes anonymous mentioned over on the store-cupboard challenge!
That said, I have found in the past that I thought I had plenty in & had a batch-cooking day & got through a dozen in one day!
DD will be going to her Dad’s on Saturday & staying there for half term. So I can use up some odds & sods with just me to worry about. And I will also do some more batch-cooking before she comes home, so our meals will be sorted for the rest of the month.0 -

Sorry I haven't been great at posting regularly this month, but I have been keeping a good track of my receipts. Siggy updated. Did a £42.61 shop today. Roll on the end of the month.

Spent a total of £11.19 today
But this includes £7.60 on a haul from our C00p's closing down sale with a shelf value of £30.14 :T
This consisted of
3kg of currants (total £2.10 instead of £8.37 - lots of baking coming up)
6kg of Allis0ns wholemeal bread flour (total £1.44 instead of £5.80)
6 jars of sauce to serve over pasta (total £2.18 instead of £8.52)
and a few more bits and bobs for Christmas
2x large sponge puddings
2x jars Raspberry Coulis
plus a small tin of 'refried beans' to try, as we've never had them before but 20p wasn't going to break the bank
Daily total also includes 2xC00p Elmwood chickens that DD picked up for me (at the C00p near her workplace) - reduced from £1.94 and £2.08 to just 99p each. As the "shelf" prices already allow for the fact these are on a half-price offer I'm really chuffed with her for thinking to phone and ask if I wanted one :j She ended up with two for herself (and my GDs) as well.....
Also picked up some 'lamb bones' (looks like ribs) from Mr M - just over 1kg at 99p/kg (cost me £1.12 total). I've never seen these before (and we don't have a local butcher to try and scrounge any from) so I'm going to have a stab at a Scotch Broth.... and if it works out OK, then I'll keep my eyes open for them in future (or even ask at the butchers counter in Mr M)
Also picked up two vegetable bits I'm not counting against my grocery budget..... One of my dogs needs a special feed (low-purine due to kidney stones), and since starting to move him across to that he's constantly hungry. Took him to the vets this morning and put him on the scales just to make sure he's not losing weight -and there doesn't appear to be a problem there (he's up-to-date with ALL his meds, so know it's nothing that way either).
They said this is common on this type of food (!) and the only thing they can suggest/recommend is adding fresh veg (which he loves anyway) to his feeds, so have been shopping for some cheap ones for him today. Out for some more tomorrow, at which point I won't have GDs with me and will have more time to do a proper price compare between the local shops. Not up with the cost of fresh veg (other than spuds which aren't an option for this), as I normally use frozenCheryl0
