HELP!!! Pleaaaase respond

Hi , A plea really alienrik has helped me in the past. I unistalled Avast from my daughters laptop it came with the laptop. I replaced it with Avira , problem is it wont run a full system scan it stops after 33.8% of scanning and just freezes the bar says avira system scan not responding. I've run Malware malbytes the newer version just to check it came back as no malicious adware or viruses detected along those lines any way . Please help

Try uninstalling, and then installing it again.

Is there a specific safe site I can do that on or doesn't it matter. As you can tell already me's not computer literate

Download it, uninstall the old one, and then reinstall it again.

Did you remove Avast through Add & Remove Programmes, if so did it remove okay?

You don't have any other AV on your computer?

Does Avira say what file it is stuck at?

Done it still the same stops working then freeze's everything:mad:

Can you download HiJack This from filehippo.com ?? Run a scan and post the log up here, let's see what's running on there. DO NOT try and Fix anything in HJT, just scan(takes seconds) and post the log....
