Many thanks to the OP. My printer arrived yesterday and, like mk-donald said, it is quite a step up in speed from an inkjet! Though, bizzarely, the test page it spits out when you first plug it in told me it had already printed 690 pages. The printer itself doesn't look used though

I'm not sure if it's a keeper yet though as my "Grand Wireless Printer Plan" isn't going too well ;)
  • I ordered and paid for (PayPal) the printer and it didn't turn up. I emailed the address given and they ignored it. I found a website for Marketworks which gave an email and phone number for their Guildford premises. The phone had an answering machine. I left a massage, which was not replied to. No answer from the email address either. I called Brother in Manchester. The person I spoke to said she had never heard of Marketworks and that all of their refurbished machines are disposed of through a completely different company in Plymouth. What's going on?

From the amount of positive feedback on EBay and here they must exist. It seems that if everything goes well with the transaction, no problem. If you need to get in touch with them - not interested. They've got my cash...

    Anyone managed to contact them?

I also had cause to contact Marketworks but gave up and phoned Brother in Man'. They never heard of them and I was starting to panic. The next day my printer turned up! My emails to Marketworks were never answered.

after reading this thread I met the reserve and won a dcp 7010, it arrived within a couple of days looking unused. however it had run 1500 sheets.
I paid £92 inc delivery I wasnt too happy as the next day I went into costco and they have the same model brand new not a refurb for £93.

Just hope i get the free label printer to cushion the blow

Nightswimmer - did you use your warranty to get a replacement in the end?

My printer is creasing paper the same you as yours and i would like to return it...Do i just call up Brother on the 0870 number? and would they refund the cost of shipping it to them?

If anyone has a non-0870 number, please let me know.
    Thanks.

    Found the Manchester number...

No I haven't. Unfortunately, due to a personal situation that cropped up, I haven't had chance to deal with it yet.

Sorry that I can't be of more help. Hope you get yours sorted out.
