Ah, I suspect you're referring to this promotion https://secure.brother.co.uk/g3.cfm/s_page/52310

Sadly the HL2040 isn't listed as being part of the promotion. But if you want to send me the £20 cashback I'll happily accept. :D

Just a quick note - regardless of cost, the Brother 2040 is significantly faster at printing than the Samsung ML1510 - it really does churn out the pages for black and white.

I refill at Cartridge World and I don't think there was any difference in cost for refilling, but don't quote me on that.

Just brought this printer , i see that on there website they have ebay Auctions and this one is currently at £36.50 plus the £7.50 p&p.

My current Canon printer is a tad slow and seems to be slow at responding with windows XP so i hope this new printer will be a lot faster.

Thanks to OP for this offer :money:

Mine is lightning fast, which is probably at least partly due to the 8MB memory on board. In fact it's so fast, if you don't flip up the little paper catcher at the top it flings the pages right over!

    Overall I'm very impressed.

Factory refurbished from Brother. Although the web site is Marketworks.com.

    Link here Brother HL-2040

I'm in the market for a cheap Laser and this seems a good buy. It's still about £100 elsewhere, although of course, that's new, not refurbished.

Just tried to order it - clicked on "Add to Cart" it doesn't add to cart! - Is it sold out now?

Got mine yesterday and it's so good my dad bought one for himself. Thanks Brother! Managed to place an order for his around 9pm last night, I must have just got there in time.

EDIT: Seems the link is back and working now. Adds to the cart ok.
