anyone reccommend a spanish resort close to the airport

Just returned from Benalmadena and we used the train ,1.45 euro fare cannot be beaten in my estimation. We also thought that Cariheula, between Torremolinos and Benalmadena was beautiful and had a superb beach and promenade area - a lot prettier that the other resorts. So Malaga is a great airport to fly to. If choosing Reus then why not try Cambrills, the quieter more spanish sister to Salou. As previously mentioned once you have booked your flight it is easy to search on Owners Direct, Holiday Rentals, Holiday Lettings etc to find an apartment to suit your needs and budget. Good Luck.

The Malaga coast train is great - and cheap. If you get bored of one place just pop on the train and within minutes you are somewhere else. Fuengirola is my favourite place on the Costa, but there's somewhere for all tastes and budgets.

I agree with Fuengirola ! Love the leather shopping area and the shops, tapas bars are yummy ! The beach isnt bad either. Ive never done trains in Spain but I have heard they are a great price.

Quite agree, and head down the coast to Cunit or Calafell for a bit more excitement.
We stayed in Cunit this summer and the train fare from Barcelona Airport to the resort was approx £3.50 each one way. Cunit is on the beach, and a very safe beach, and is definitely worth a look - very spanish - very few english - was a real treat

Definitely Malaga. Cariheula is beautiful as is the whole of that coastline. Try Resort Hoppa for airport transfer, but I have heard that the train is great.

we were pleasantly surprised by Salou. we went because it was cheap and we desperately wanted a holiday. we were expecting it to be quite Bultins-esque, but we managed to find plenty of culture amongst all the tourist stuff. as has been previously mentioned, it is very convenient for Barcelona.

There is a train from Alicante (town) to Benidorm. There is a bus from the airport to Alicante. Both are cheap enough.

Have u tried Albir the town next to benidorm, i live there n its a lovely family friendly town with the bonus of having benidorm beach and entertainment a 20 min bus ride or 5 mins in taxi. There is also loads of bars and restaurants here and of course a beach. Shuttledirect have busses from the airport to your hotel or appartment and cost around £7.50 pp each way and are comfortable and roomy, and i have used them many times. Good luck.
