So, assuming the rep HAS looked it up, then the answer IS a lie! So the answer to the question posed in the thread title is yes!
I worked in Sky BBands Tier 2 & TSG Tier 3 for a while. We were told,& I believe this is what the BT rep was sticking to,not to comment on the availability & conduct of other providers.
By doing so you are opening the route of liability.
In other words,If I told you 'Nuts Telecomm' was in your exchange & it was'nt & you went & signed up on my say so,then the company I work for is liable by you for providing false info.
Same as if I said 'Nuts Telecomm's' Customer service was crap, then I've opened up my company to be sued by Nuts.
It's more complex than that so I've simplified it a bit.

No link, I read from a couple of posts over on HUKD that there was a 40GB FUP (which is why I typed probably).
Thanks for confirming that it is truly unlimited, it makes the deal even better!!!
Apparently my line has the potential to support 19Mb, though I wouldn't be surprised if I actually get a lot lower! Can't wait till the BB is active!Try to imagine nothing ever existed...0
