Greenbee - advice is travel in comfy t-shirt type top, with a smart jacket (hides creases when you arrive. Unless you have creasefree trousers or skirt - change into spare pair just before you land. Go American with accessories & bright makeup and no-one will know where you've been!! Posh shoes & handbag are also necessary? :D

Seriously though - capsule seems to be the way to go and layer up/down - time for a little shopping out there to add to your outfits? And I second or third the you need nightwear - I've been evacuated from a hotel for a fire alarm at night - since then I always think of what I might be seen in!

I'm very envious - Florida is my favourite place and I love the shopping malls. Enjoy, the most exotic I get to is Kingsway in London these days.

    Moam

and no she doesn't work in Egham or in reseach - but now I'm wondering exactly who you work for..

Thanks for this! I'm going to clear the spare room and start my packing when I've had breakfast. If I do get the extra time in Florida I'll be picking your brains (I've never been there, although ironically I did edit the National Geographic travel guide to either Florida or Miami about 8 years ago!), as I'll need to find something to keep me occupied!

I'll PM you in a moment to let you know where I work... not far from you, and not far from where I used to work!

Need to get going but not sure what to do, think both girls are out later and OH is away so I'll have the house to myself.:D

Really could do with sorting through DD2 clothes as I'm sure loads don't fit anymore.

Got to clean the bath...again, looks like the sealant has sealed.:D

Could we please have super healthy healing vibes for Johanne?

Her FB status asks if we will all help a very very sick baby in hospital (BF's baby not Pumpkin).. so, I told her I'd for you to send some of our fabulous healing vibes to her.

I did wonder if the lyric "it's hard to get by when your !!!! is as wide as a small country" had something to do with it.

    It's the best lyric isn't it? :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

    Happy birthday fedup :bdaycake:

Correct, couple of days down at t'cross and even doing an extra one next week  It was great going through the wedding box, also looked at our wedding pics which was great :D My niece who is now 14 was 2 when we got married, she had a teddy bear in a copy of her dress, firgured that was better than flowers for a 2yo, Miss A thought that was great.

Catching up with the thread by skim reading but will have to finish later.

Have a good w/e one and all :hello:

    Happy birthday fedup

I've just got round to checking baggage allowances. I'm so used to flying cheap... The size of the hand luggage allowed on Virgin is VAST. I have to go and buy a new suitcase! It doesn't say anything about laptop bags, but does about handbags, so I'm wondering if my smart leather laptop bag could count as a large handbag? That was I can keep everything I need for the flight in there, and most of what I need for the trip in hand luggage, which will save me checking anything in!

I really MUST start making piles of stuff now (oh yes, and put the washing on!)
