I take it you mean nightwear for when I'm there... not on the plane . Flying from gatwick is a pain as it is further away and I have to deal with airport parking. Heathrow is 15 minutes from the office, so I can park there and get a taxi which is much less hassle!
Hope you and your arm get better soon.
Yep - you said you were taking gym kit and swimsuit for exercising and sleeping; just thought nightwear might be more comfortable
And thanks!
I'm off to bed now so night all, sleep well x"There's only one way of life and that's your own" - Levellers

Good point! Thanks
I'm going to call it a day now too. I have a LOT to do tomorrow, and I expect I'll manage to avoid it and end up being late for my taxi on Sunday  I have to be at the office by 11.30, so I can check in by 12 for a 2pm flight...0 -

Greenbee - advice is travel in comfy t-shirt type top, with a smart jacket (hides creases when you arrive. Unless you have creasefree trousers or skirt - change into spare pair just before you land. Go American with accessories & bright makeup and no-one will know where you've been!! Posh shoes & handbag are also necessary?
Seriously though - capsule seems to be the way to go and layer up/down - time for a little shopping out there to add to your outfits? And I second or third the you need nightwear - I've been evacuated from a hotel for a fire alarm at night - since then I always think of what I might be seen in!
I'm very envious - Florida is my favourite place and I love the shopping malls. Enjoy, the most exotic I get to is Kingsway in London these days.
Moam
and no she doesn't work in Egham or in reseach - but now I'm wondering exactly who you work for..Although no one can go back and make a brand new start, anyone can start from now and make a brand new ending.... life is a WIP.

Well I typed a huuuuge waffle.. then the cat wandered across the keypad and saved you from it by skipping it to another webpage thereby losing all my hard typed wordies.. anyway.. I have forgotten what I piffled on about too... being a goldfish and all!
Erm.. flying today amounts to 1 cheque in bank, DW loaded unloaded reloaded reunloaded.. I love my OH ... Let's see how long it lasts lol
I have erm.... erm..... erm... done 2 school runs, been to uni for the morning, took tiddles to docs, and me... got prescription for me and referral for scan, she got plastics referral.. I had my nails done, bought pullups for DD3.. oh I cooked dinner for the 4 youngest children too.. and squeezed a few spots for DD1...... would have been ok but it cost me £10 lol
I need a few more docs appointments.. nothing serious but I do not need nagging, I'll do it in my own sweet time...
Crackers abcess feels like it is filling again, but when I pull the cut open nothing is coming out so I'll stick with his AB's and hope they work.
Tiddles is showing everyone her finger now she knows it is attention worthy!
I need to..
Phone to chase insurance cheque
Phone to chase DS3's eye op.. that was supposed to have happened over the summer.. nothing serious. He has an extra tear duct he needs flushing and maybe removing.
I am seriously considering buying a new bed with last months uni bursary.. mine is over 100 years old and absolutely dead. It has a fairly new mattress but that is beside the point. I am not sure whether to pay a sum off the gas/leccy though.. thinky thinky think!!LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
Which one of you owns a 'Burnley' scarf?
Piggers - when big fat fluffy cat had a bite on his ear I put tea tree cream on it (well DS2 did actually as it's his cat) and it worked a treat. Did make some of the hair fall out but healed the ear, fur now growing back.
Labelling just about done.
Going to put WM on and then off up to bed, see you tomorrow flyers. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
Frodders - hope they resolve your arm and stuff PDQ - poor you - sending healing vibes.
Now, I know I said I was going to be at 10pm and I promise I will go shortly but I got diverted. (and it's Friday night so I claim off topic conversations are allowed cos the weekend has started!)
Why did I get diverted? It was to do with conspiracy theory - or rather, non advertising but subliminal advertising on the BBC IYSWIM - but no - you won't - until I explain....
Last week and part of the week before on my local BBC Radio station I regularly heard a song which I'd never heard before but which has, apparently, been around for about 13 years. I really loved it. It's been conspicuous in its absence this last few days or so after the great exposure it had last week and the week before. What is it? It's "National Express" by Divine Comedy - Utube version here:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TiBI3A2WcrE
The first few seconds or so may seem boring but bear with them...
I got to thinking why haven't I heard it this week? Indeed, why didn't I hear it at all before a couple of weeks ago? The main singer's voice reminds me of Frank Sinatra, Michael Buble, etc, and it's funny too. I did wonder if the lyric "it's hard to get by when your !!!! is as wide as a small country" had something to do with it
Then I got to remembering the news story about the American Greyhound bus operator starting up a service - news detail here:
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/travel/article-1214817/UK-breaks-Luxury-Greyhound-buses-unleashed-A3.html
Which launched just about the same time as the BBC regional radio started playing the National Express song...
Any fellow conspiracy theorists out there agree with me that the timing is well...... appropriate?I am the leading lady in the movie of my life

JulieJim and toots - thanks for the comments about my diabetes, it did help and I have read some of the leaflets now.
to everyone who sent thoughts and prayers for my friends Dad.
Healing and loving vibes for Tiddles, Mudbaths son,Trikers friend, Toots, LadyL, Mummyof5s son and toots nephew and of course anyone else who needs them.
Soappie - when the 'National Express' song came out, my OH was coach driving and used to sing it regularly at karaoke nights!!I am up this early cos my friend in London is about to start her chemo next week and she couldn't sleep so rang me, knowing I am often up at this time. Well actually today I wasn't, but I am now so it's all good.:rotfl: I feel so bad for her, she is only 41. Been a busy week what with two days with my bereaved friend D, and an hour and a half on the phone this morning with R. Still, I made her laugh a few times and that made it worth it.In the meantime, my list for today is as follows -
Feed the cat at least twice
Brush the cat
Sort and delete 10 emails
reply to emails
Clean bathroom sink
Spray bleach on the bottoms of the shower curtains
Fill WM and put on
Make sammys for OH lunch
Put breadmaker onExtras
Ring D first thing
Ring vets - still not done
research dual fuel tariffs online
Polish computer keyboard and screen and tv
research new kettles!
Ring D and check she has had dinner

I nearly go up at 4am today but managed some interupted sleep until 6.50am.
Went to bed early at teatime yesterday due to feeling rubbish with a heavy cold and then a big attack of indigestion (lovely!)
No flying today except washing up my tea pots tonight and sticking a wash on overnight!
Off to spend my birthday money with my mum today! Received a very inpersonal card from OH balanced against quite a bit of birthday money and some presents (nice perfume -real!) and a couple of presents that looked like he was a bit stuck what to buy. Not meaning to sound ungrateful at all.
Well flying back again on Sunday and I'll catch up then with a mega busy day!
See you all later tonight when I pop back on and check how my ebay listings are doing too!
