Well, I've had a quick 40 min whizz round de-cluttering and the place still doesn't look any different  I have clutter on top of clutter! I think at least I have reached the bottom layer of clutter now though :rotfl:

Gotta go - give the chickens their greens, walk the dogs and go to my dressmaking class at 6pm. Will probably be too shattered to do any more flying when I get back but hey ho, anything's better than nothing!

Did anyone else struggle when they first started 'flying'? I am putting my faith in Toots's words in her pm, that it gets easier and you can see the difference as the weeks go by!

Keep heart it does get better. A few years in of being a flylady and I really feel like I am getting there now (with the house at least, garage, loft and shed are a different matter).

It does get easier but it takes time and my main tip would be don't let any bits that you have done get bad again. By keeping the 'done bits' done you can slowly add to it rather than your hard work be wasted.

I've sorted some more toys with the kids. Crumble in the AGA. Dinner eaten. Just going to tidy up from dinner and then DS3 football run and a pop into Lidl which is just around the corner from footie.

I am planning an evening of doing this. I did it for hours last night to no avail - what are you using (apart from elbow grease!) that is doing the trick?

Do feel free to come round to mine if you like! :rotfl:

I'm using paint stripper on the paint that must have been down about 50 years and a solution of sugar soap and hot water to scrub with. I'm using pallette knife type decorating tools and a couple of cold chisels to hack stuff off then a spondex metal thingy to scrub and one of those sponge things with the green scoury stuff on the back to rinse with.

And for a [STRIKE]small[/STRIKE] large fee I might consider taking orders....

It's taking ages though - at least the paint stripping is. Actually washing the non painted bits of boards with the spondex metal thingy is quite quick.

But I've stopped this evening. Tomorrow I need to start moving furniture ~sigh~

Greenbee - hope your first day is going well.

I survived it! Hope you're recovered from the scrubbing...

I can't do much at the moment - and I have a 90-day induction/training period, so they're not actually expecting me to be productive particularly soon! I'm spending this week making sure I can log in to all the systems ready for next week's training session. Most importantly, I discovered that they have a dry-cleaning service that runs from the office, so tomorrow I need to find out more about it and then take my stuff in.

Oh yes... and I'm going to Orlando in November... apparently I'm not expected to be in the office much after my first three months!

I put a chicken to boil in the SC this morning, so have been greeted by the delicious smell of chicken stock. I'll deal with it when I get back from reflexology.

I have an 8.30  breakfast meeting tomorrow with my boss's boss who is over from Australia. Thursday all my meetings are in the afternoon, Friday I have another 8.30 meeting...

Hopefully I'll work out how my homeworking stuff works soon, and then I'll go in a bit less!

See you all when I get back from reflexology.
