  • Have made minestrone soup, onion soup, chicken murghlai (spelling???), batches of chicken sandwiches for the freezer, and danish pastry dough (I'll finish it tomorrow); plus I've frozen down some chicken stock. [Guess what we had for Sunday roast? 39.gif]

Then cleaned up the kitchen afterwards :(

But it's all sparkly again now. Just the dishwasher to unpack and repack; then school run.

Will be back tomorrow - probably to do sitting room! - but have remembered my dentist appt at 11:00, so this will dig a big hole in the day.

Love to all - and hugs to Zoe xxx

Today I have walked the dogs for an hour, done one load of washing, put a load of recycling out, been to work (3 hours) and done a bit of shopping in Lidl. I'm going to have a stab at some of today's list now!

Zoe your day sounds awful! Poor you!

Tootiefruities thank you for your welcome. I'm hoping that following the lists on here will eventually turn my house from a junkyard into a home!

Well, I've had a quick 40 min whizz round de-cluttering and the place still doesn't look any different  I have clutter on top of clutter! I think at least I have reached the bottom layer of clutter now though :rotfl:

Gotta go - give the chickens their greens, walk the dogs and go to my dressmaking class at 6pm. Will probably be too shattered to do any more flying when I get back but hey ho, anything's better than nothing!

Did anyone else struggle when they first started 'flying'? I am putting my faith in Toots's words in her pm, that it gets easier and you can see the difference as the weeks go by!

  • smileyt...it does get easier. e.g. when you first clear your lounge floor and vacuum it, it'll take ages to do cos the clutter has built up over time. When you come to do it next week you'll only have a weeks worth of clutter to clear before vacuuming. That pretty much applies to the actual cleaning too. A few weeks or months worth of dirt takes a lot more wiping down than just a week or two's worth. Also, don't beat yourself up if you don't finish the list, it'll come round again next week. I prefer to start that day's room rather than carry the day before's over. That way you get at least a bit of each room done rather than doing one or two from top to bottom and leaving the others a tip. I think it was week 3 that I really felt the benefit. HTH x

DD1 & 2 and niece destroying DD1's room so I'd better intervene...although it probably couldn't get much worse than it already is.

Will multi task and put washing away while I check on them.

ETA: Wow! Well done dreamy wings. Now we know you can do that we'll be expecting it every week!!! LOL
