DH came home from work even earlier today than last Monday:eek:. Kept coughing all the time so the girls sent him home :rotfl: Told him if he coughed at home I'd send him straight back! We went to I**a(sorry) and organised our dining room furniture - but it meant my flying has gone to pot. Did want to finish & get a star but i'm cream crackered.

Three freegle collections made! I'm still waiting on a couple of people to agree times, but most stuff is now gone. Anything that isn't is being reposted on a different group.

DW has been emptied and cleaning cycle run.

Towels are dry - must put them away, put the sheets in the dryer when they finish and put the last load of washing in.

Food has been eaten. I have a chicken to put in the slow cooker tomorrow morning so that I have boiled chicken & stock when I get home. Freezers are both full  so I MUST eat out of them for the next few weeks and not buy anything new! (In fact, I have to eat enough stuff out of them to be able to fit the 10 croissants I got for £1 and all the chicken/chicken stock I'll be making ).

Bed appears to have clean washing on it, so that needs to go away, and then I think I should shower and go to bed.

:xmastree: Hello, can I join please? I suffer from depression but am feeling a bit better at the moment, and am going back to work tomorrow, part-time. The house is a complete tip and I am getting a lodger at the end of October so I really need to get my backside into gear! I might just aim for level one this week.

I tend to think I am really lazy but have just added up the time I have spent caring for my animals today (2 dogs and 3 chickens) and it comes to over 3 hours, what with dog-walking and chicken cleaning and supervising the chickens in the garden to keep them safe from the local cats. I have read the lists some of you put up and I am amazed at how much you get through in a day! What's your secret? :rotfl:

Right, I'm off to get a bowl of soup, feed the dogs and then maybe mop the kitchen floor, so that will be the level one kitchen done for today. Well, that's the intention .....

    Hiya
Thanks so much for all your good wishes for my dad - it really does mean a lot. His eyes are fine but he's had a TIA so has been kept in for a few days to review his warfarin and other medication. Also, 15 minutes after posting last time I had a call from school to ask me to collect DS as he was in pain again. I've made an appointment for him for tomorrow morning and I'm going to beg them for antibiotics if that's what it takes! So, that's life in a nutshell. Stress levels are high but i've made myself do the 30 minutes on the wii fit and that's calmed me down a bit. Sometimes a bit of normality goes a long way.

So, thanks again for your support - it's really helped.

Flying bit - i've done DD's packed lunch for tomorrow because DH is away.

Positive bit - my DD is being an absolute angel making up games to play with DS to keep his mind off it and helping me. I'm making sure she knows how fabulous she's been xx

I said earlier that I tend to cook loads while DH is away - today was 2 apple braids, a pear frangipane tart, 2 loaves of bread, minestrone soup from the carcase stock I made yesterday, 2 apple pies, a sponge cake, spicy beef casserole. Some of the baking will go into the freezer, but you're all welcome to come round and help us eat it :j
