  • (((hugs))) holly it must be hard when its a constant battle - could you get an email from his teacher as to what his homework should be so you can check if its done? You have done the right thing confiscating his Xbox so be firm and dont give in - he will learn that his tantrums dont work.

dreamywings you have done loads today - well done - we are easier than the american website - you can do your housework in your pjs if you want - but yes i have to agree if you get up and get washed and dressed you do feel more motivated to get on -I am sure you will get round the rest tomorrow - in case I miss you I hope you have a brilliant time in germany and we will see you again when you get back - oh dont forget to pack!!!

jjef hows work - hope you havent succumbed to the SF?

I have emptied the cupboard under the stairs of the mountain of ironing and some other detrius which has gathered.

I sorted the ironing into piles - mine and Littleys, then took out all the non-iron stuff and then ironed my 15 items. So only littleys stuff to go now.

I hate ironing so much cos that has taken me hours........how long does ironing take everyone else???? xx

On a brighter note i filled two binbags with shredding this morning, cos I was too wheezy to do anything else, so my enourmous pile of filing is looking much better! :D And I cleared some of the carp which has been hiding in the cupboard under the stairs into the sideboard where it now belongs. Yay! I also was able to put away all the DVDs into the new unit which i bought a while ago, as they were in the back of the understair cupboard and we couldnt even get to them!

the books are now in the bookcases instead of piled on top!!! Yay!!!!

There are still bits of carp all over the place which i am deciding where they go, but its getting there. And once im finished hauling the rubbish about the living room, I can get on with scrubbing it from top to bottom!

Plus my new super-duper duffer that I got from my doc this morning, is amazing! Ive noticed the difference all ready and feel much better!!

So just to treat myself I went and picked up all the dog poo out the garden  Oh the joy!!

    My Things for today.

    1) Post letter
    2) get some food.
    3) find bottom of washing basket.
    4) start to declutter kitchen.

Things are slow here today, think it's because the kids are off so it's constant stopping and starting.

    Hello all newbies.

I've made a start on the kitchen so best keep at it, i've also put 5 things on gumtree (fingers crossed they sell, it's all going to plumber anyway).

Right i need a coffee to get me going again.:rotfl:
Sometimes it seems that the going is just too rough.
And things go wrong no matter what I do.
Now and then it seems that life is just too much.
But you've got the love I need to see me through.

Thanks for the nagging toots :p I have absolutely no idea what to wear tomorrow :o

What kind of light fitting are you looking for? I'm taking one out from the utility room shortly...

I've just had a call from the tree surgeon who hadn't bothered to return my call a fortnight ago asking whether they could come and do the work tomorrow! I did point out to them that as they hadn't bothered to get back to me I'd assumed they weren't interested, and that I don't want it done on my first day in a new job - I know I don't have to be here, but I do need to talk to the neighbours! Anyway, I want to see what the other people quote... :D

I've been to my waxing appointment, so am now fuzz-free, and then to the supermarket (I know I try to avoid it, but I haven't managed to get to the farm shop for weeks, so had run out of veg so went and stocked up on a few other bits too). I'm looking forward to washing my hair later, as I haven't done it since the colour was put in on Wednesday  as the longer I leave it the less likely it will be to fade!

Off to put away the shopping, unload the DW, put the washing in the dryer and put the next load of washing in.

Lots of vibes for Mudbath's dad. I hope you hear something positive soon.

soappie - I think it's time you went back to work :p you're clearly looking for projects to get your teeth into! (Or you could come and do all my floors upstairs once you've got the hang of it...)

congrats ajmoney - what subject? I really want to do an employment law one but not until the boys are older.

Soappie - I dont envy you the floorboard work at all but I bet they will look lovely afterwards.

Jo - plenty more dog dirt here if you fancy the trip out? Are you off sick only you don't seem to be resting very much.

Mudbath - healing vibes for your Dad

HollyH - hugs for you, I dread mine being big enough to play up like that.

Slowly sorting the kitchen. DH is going to be very late again so time for another HHC before I think about making his dinner. 17.45-18.15 anyone?
