  • Well done AJ

MUDBATH - positive vibes heading your way :D.

Now for a shock anouncement...drum roll please....

    MY SONS COOKED DINNER TONIGHT!!!!:eek::eek::eek:

When I ran the options by them for tonights dinner, I got the usual lukewarm reponse. So, I said to them, there's the oven, there's the fridge - knock yourselves out.
Next thing DS1 comes marching down the stairs with a copy of Jamie's American road trip under his arm.

A few minutes later DS2 popped his head round the door.."do we have any butter?"

    I said yes

    A few minutes more..

    "macaroni..parmesan..worcester sauce..thyme"..etc..etc

Eventually curiosity got the better of me and I went in to investigate.

and with a little bit of help from me they put together a perfectly respectable mac and cheese :D:D
Twins, twice the laughs, twice the fun, twice the mess!:j:j

    :hello:Hi, I'm home!!

The 'surprise' weekend away for OH landmark birthday went brilliantly. We went to Shanklin on the Isle of Wight. The weather was wonderful - had lovely walks on the beach before breakfast, spent a day at an animal park - we were last there ten years ago, and to my delight, the teens loved it just as much! Then a swift gallop around Ventnor Botanic Gardens on the Sunday morning. We had lunch at Gunwharf Quays in Portsmouth - is it always so manic, or was it just because of all the new students and Freshers week? Got back later than intended last night.

I didn't feel great this morning, went into school but felt so ill on the journey I had to set work and come home - obviously picked up a bug somewhere... So, I've had a lazy day tucked up on the sofa reading.

I'll be back to flying tomorrow, promise!

    Hello!!

I'm in again this week, but sadly (!) couldn't do much today due to the power being off. We had a power cut on Saturday night (they restored the power, but need to mend a fault) and today saw 5 men standing around looking down a bloomin' great big 'ole in the ground. Much arm waving and supping of tea has been taking place. Still, the power's on for now, and hopefully they have just about finished fixing the fault before filling said hole tomorrow (one can hope!).

I managed to do my dailies (washing in the machine right now!), and will hopefully do the following before I get ready for bed...

Plus my evening routine. Children are in bed, OH on his way home, and I'll hopefully get some time to sit and knit this evening - DS's cardigan nearly finished, just the collar to go now.

I'm back on level one for a while - I'm feeling completely overwhelmed at the moment...DD came home from school on Friday complaining that one of the boys in the class has been hitting her (she's in reception), so I've been worrying about that (spoke to teacher this morning and I think - hope - it's been resolved). It all adds to the worry.

And, I suffer from SAD so I think that could be affecting my mood. I also had late onset post-natal depression with DD, so I'm dreading that being the cause of my feeling low - DS is now six months old. Might have a chat with the HV or GP if my mood doesn't pick up soon.

Anyway, that's enough about my worries - they are nothing compared to what others are going through. Wanted to send loads of hugs to everyone who needs one.

    Take care
