    Evening all,
Right, back now, after a quick stop off to buy chick peas and black pepper. I'm going to make some houmous later. It always really grieves me paying for ready made when it's so cheap to make.

Would you mind telling me how you make this? I'd love to have a go at making my own.

    Evening all

I can't believe it's so late. All 3 kids needed to ask homework questions tonight (DS2 even followed me around Waitrose asking questions whilst DS3 was at beavers).

DH away in Germany so I need to do his nightly tasks (DW and setting teasmaid) - looks like lots of DHs are away (Mudders/PenPen)

Greenbee - good luck for tomorrow, hope you enjoy your first day

Soappie - great start on the floor

PrettyPennies - well done to your DS on cooking dinner

Holly - hugs, how old is your DS? Are the hormones kicking in 14?

Serena - glad you had a good time in the IofW

Quick dash around for 10 minutes as I want to watch Gavin and Stacy.

  • Pffffft I'm useless.
Can't shake this cold and I hate hate hate being ill. Managed to get to uni, but haven't done any flying today. I think I'm going to leave most things until the end of the week, boyfriend has got the cold as well and he's being even more useless than I am.

Have quickly caught up, so hugs to Mudbath, congrats to Aj, and my mind has gone blank so big hugs to everyone!

    Lots of love

Well, today's been a huge change for me. Lots of activity.... that bit's not unusual, but continuing in the evening, when normally we're sitting with a bottle of wine.... that really is unusual. I did fall asleep almost as soon as I'd posted saying I was going to get up  but only for 10 mins or so. Then I got up and hit the kitchen... again *sigh*
Made houmous - yum - did the windows and sills, and tidied and cleaned my plates cupboard. NO wine for me :T

I don't do stress.. but eczema is my stress indicator lol

I've been all good and got the washing off the line after 3 days.. it is dry.. and now folded and away. I paired some socks. I have tomorrows school stuff to put out.. and I have my stuff to sort.

    Evening all,

Ds1 ( he's 12 Dusty ) calmed down eventually earlier ( after trying to escape out of the house to see his friend who had phoned ) and i explained to him i was punishing him because of HIS behaviour, and if he started behaving life would be so much better. He cleaned his room and packed his bag which i've checked. Hopefully tomorrow will be better.

I've done a HHi so i need to find and update my list.

  • Hi Cally... here's a link for a recipe that I think hits the mark. I tend to be a bit hit and miss with mine, chucking in a big tin of chick peas and huge dollops of tahini :D I like it with or without cumin, depends on how you feel really.

I like to serve it with a drizzle of ex virgin olive oil, a sprinkle of paprika and chilli flakes
