Hiya
Just a quickie because DH has sent me home from hospital to get some sleep - he's staying with DS. DS is still quite poorly because he ended up with an infection in one kidney when it became blocked with a stone. He's definitely on the mend though. He's on IV antibiotics and regular pain medicine - it works well as he was giggling yesterday when another stone started to move (wish they'd give me some!!). I'm on a lovely ward with three other children - the parents are great and we spend the nights when we can't sleep playing games. It's funny how children can sleep through all the noise but we struggle.
We're having more tests tomorrow as there's an indication that the kidneys aren't working as well as they should. I'll worry about that when we get the results.
LL passed on your best wishes and love and that's really helped. Thank you to LL - for your kind words and care - very much appreciated. Massive hugs back to you. I hope you're ok.
Thanks also for the lovely PMs.
Right, i'm falling asleep here so i'm going for a bath and bed! Bliss!
If this post sounds despondent I'm just very tired - I can definitely see light at the end of the tunnel. My DS has been so brave through all of this and one positive thing is i've spent some amazing quality time with him - not the way i'd choose to do it but at least i've still got my lovely, affectionate if slightly crazy little boy!
Hugs to you all xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx0 -

Penny. xMy two GSs were in a car accident last night. GS1 in front passenger seat and GS2 in the back. They were stationary waiting to make a right turn and a taxi had jumped the lights and went into the back of them. GS1s neighbour heard the bang and rang for the emergency services. They are shocked and have whiplash. We cant understand why taxi was behind them as he should have been passing them on the left hand side to go down main road. I didnt sleep too well worrying and thinking it could have been a lot worse.
And nice to hear from Mudbath...good news about your boy.
I had to be woken by the nurses when they were nebulising DD - though I will never know why I had to be awake TBH - I am sure they were more than capable of administering without my input!Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

Well since my last post, the food shopping has been done, I've had lunch (at 4pm!), and I've watched the end of Fly Away Home with OH. OH has put the sheets in the wash, so I'm going to strip the bed of the other set and put a new set on. Think I may have a little lay down after that cos I'm feeling rather sleepy. Must wake up for the XFactor at 8pm though. Also need to cut up the quiche I bought today for my lunches and put some in my lunchbox for tomorrow. LBC has finally got off the bed and gone out somewhere, so I'd best get a move on before he comes back in the middle of bed making. Must also give the bedroom a dust and hoover as it hasn't been done for a couple of weeks.

boddy and mudders and to your lovely boys, God bless them.
I am watching Prof. Dawkins, I believe in God, but still find Dawkins very entertaining.
Exhausted, which, being honest, arises from eating and drinking too much and not doing enough exercise.
Question, do i need another pair of boots? If so, brown with black skirts, or black with black skirts? Please do not confuse me with other gratefulsforhelp. x0 -
