                    Hello.
I'm always lurking in these forums but have only just signed up.
I am completely fed up now, I won't tell you my life story as i'm sure you've all heard it before.
But basically, I'm completely broke and soon will have no where to live. I'm not just anti-social, I have a social phobia, the general public freak me out and I have a really hard time dealing with people/customers.
I'm signed on at the Job Centre, which I absolutely detest going there, they make me feel so small.
I've tried searching the internet for jobs which I can do from home, or which lack people but I'm not really have much luck.
I was hoping I could get some help and advice, maybe some suggestions on jobs that I could do. I'm not lazy, everyone thinks I am lazy, I actually want to do something with my life but it's hard when I just feel like I can't do anything.
Thank you in advance for any replies.

Hello Katibear, i notice you are asking for help getting a job.
Could i also suggest you ask for some help with your social phobia, if you dont mind me mentioning it.
I just wanted to say this. ' No one can make you feel inferior/small/nasty/silly
WITHOUT YOUR CONSENT. i have lived by that rule since i was in my early twenties, before that i felt just like you.make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0

Is there anything pro-active that you could do to help you get over your social phobia? Obviously this has been triggered by something which you need to get to the bottom of as you can't spend your life avoiding situations that involve people.
I think most jobs require a certain level of interaction with people.
What sort of job would you ideally like to do?0

Wow, way to be helpful, and not everyone's comfortable socially. I don't have the same phobias as the OP, but I sometimes find social situations (and some people) difficult.UnoriginalGuy wrote: »Stop making excuses. Go do something.
OP - I'd just ignore this poster, you're getting better advice from everyone else.0

I agree that you should sort your problems out rather than looking for a job where you work from home as this will just exacerbate your problems. If you don't make improvements now you could end up being shut in for the rest of your life.
What jobs have you had in the past?0

You are right, you are VERY unoriginal. And what and ANTI-social remark. The very kind of attitude which chases away people who post here asking for help.
Welcome to the boards to the 1st poster and please ignore these people who judge without having any experience of what you are going through.0

How about a 'sorry I'm having a bad day' and start againmake the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.

What about typist jobs? There must be a job where you just type documents up with little social interaction.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0

Actually you're wrong. I've seen typist jobs advertised on guardian jobs and monster
