MSN Messenger and Skype is FREE on 3. No top ups required ever.

My OH has a 3 PAYG phone just for skype and Messenger although her contract phone is with another network.

If your mobile is one from Three - all you need a user id and password from MSN (i.e. hotmail account or Live account). Sign up to a free hotmail account and then you just run MSN app on your phone and enter your hotmail user and password.

Suggest getting a cheap three pay and go mobile if you want to use msn messenger. That and Skype make Three mobile worth it I say.

I cant remember if its possible to use msn messenger on a non three mobile for free with a Three sim card. Cant remember. What error are you getting specifically?

After entering my new 3 mobile number, I received a text messaging telling me to click....ghp.three.co.uk/email/wlm/home

When i enter this (on my mobile) I get the 'connection not available' message.

Will look at the cheap three pay and go mobiles though.

    Thank you oneaday!!

Not sure what that link is for but if you wanted to view that web page - you would probably need internet access - for that you need the correct internet Three settings for your mobile which you can usually get from their site or via customer service.

That gives you data access - so if you browse the web you can get charged for that depending on your plan.

For MSN messenger you do need those settings to be correct. You need to download the MSN messenger application and install it on the mobile. And then you run the msn app and enter your hotmail details.

to download you need a site like this http://info.mobile.msn.com/en-us/default.aspx

BUT beware - I think they will charge you for sending the application to your phone (not sure what it costs) - you might some free to download to pc sources.

The simpliar solution it still to get a Three mobile with everything installed properly (ok it costs as a one off cost but if you are not techy, then its worth doing that).
