i have been with 3 for 4 years and always had excellent coverage....until about 2/3 months ago and now all of a sudden all the mobiles in our house just lose the signal unexpectedly! I have no idea why this happens but feel it isnt a handset issue as it also happens to my hubbys fone and my daughters.0

Ring 3 about it, see if they can improve it. They may have done some changes.
If not and you want to move to another operator, it may give you grounds to cancel.Although no trees were harmed during the creation of this post, a large number of electrons were greatly inconvenienced.
There are two ways of constructing a software design: One way is to make it so simple that there are obviously no deficiencies, and the other way is to make it so complicated that there are no obvious deficiencies0 -
I quit three network a few months ago due to coverage. I live and work in london and found the 2g and 3g reception terrible. The worst of any network i've seen.
I couldnt get a signal in my ground floor office in holborn (almost exactly central london) or downstairs at home near finsbury park (zone 2 north london).
I kept getting dropped calls when it changed reception from 3g to 2g i think.
The 2g was better reception but i couldnt turn off the 3g, which was annoying as i heard it uses more of the battery.
3 never gave a sh*t that i couldnt get reception. I'd have a guy in bombay trying to say "your area has very good reception sir" and the call would disconnect...
I didnt mind the staff being in india, it was the fact they were told by 3 not to try and help their customers which was frustrating. I've found this with all networks though. Tesco was my favourite but now they text you every time you call or text (bcos it's on 02 network) which is annoying enough to make me change network.0 -
Hi, Thinking of taking out a new contract with 3 on iphone 4. Any views on coverage now?0

I've got a 3 phone and I've found its not actually too bad. I was on Vodafone and my signal at work used to drive me insane (there was none) but now on 3 I get a perfect signal (and this is in the middle of nowhere :rotfl:) Went to London a few weeks ago for the day and signal was fine there as well. Not tried anywhere else but not had many problems with it so far.*The RK and FF fan club* #Family*Don’t Be Bitter- Glitter!* #LotsOfLove ‘Darling you’re my blood, you have my heartbeat’ Dad 20.02.200

I think three network are pretty good especially with the 3g coverage and the speed of it as well. I am on the one plan which is excellent and when they mean unlimited data, they do mean unlimited data unlike the other networks. I am also allow to use tethering which means using my mobile as a broadband modem and connect my PC and games console. The download speed is fast enough to stream BBC iplayer and watch movies via lovefilm.com. Unlike the other mobile network, the speed is not throttle either, no matter how much data I use, my average data usage about 20 gig per month. What other network allow you to do this ?. Average download speed when in Central London during the day time is about 1 to 3 meg and at home during evening/weekend it can be anything from 1.5 to 5 meg which is enough.
I no longer need my BT phone and home ADSL. There is no point anymore, just use my broadband from my mobile.
Thank you three network, you gave me a good excuse to ditch my home landline and adsl.0 -
I live in North London, Stamford Hill and i had a good reception up until a month ago. After tens of calls to customer services and speaking to managers that never called, the Executive Office is looking into my claim but of course as everything with 3 no time line on when to expect resolution of my problems. Funny thing is when i first complained and following 2 weeks, staff told me there were no problems with my local masts. Now they say there were faults, that have been fixed, but the tech guy i spoke to the first time said the problem is the mast has been downgraded and there is nothing to be fixed. Who to believe?
I prefer to pay more on a tariff but to know if i have a problem it will be dealt with in due time.0 -
Hello,

I tested a 3 dongle a while ago with that exact same thought to ditch adsl and bt however I am a speed freak and won't ditch my 30mb broadband for anyone!
Roll on 4g and then it could be a different matter entirely.0
