Oh yes, the spider thing
The other day, I was woken up by mr tru yanking my pillow from under my head  He said a huge (he's shown me his 'huge' caught spiders, that not that big IMO ) spider was on his pillow, before he could kill it, it had crawled into my pillowcase :rotfl:
I know the BBC were saying there are more spiders this year, but another expert was saying there aren't more, it's just that the milder weather means that people are keeping their doors and windows open. He said the spiders will happily live outside, but if they're walking along a wall and come across a gap (open window or door), they don't go round it, they just carrying on walking and end up inside. I believe the second opinion

Morning all - kids are scoffing their cereal as we speak. Must get them dressed after as DS has football training at 11. OH at work so I'll have to get there on the bus - hope either the weather brightens up or they train inside today otherwise me and DD will be cold!!
Start doing my days at work fulltime next week - so will be going through the freezer and cupboards, seeing what is quick and easy to do and what stuff can be thrown into the SC. No doubt, I'll be posting later asking for help and advise!!
School clothes are washed and drying as we speak - kids have a new rule now that as soon as they get up in the morning, they get washed and changed into school uniforms that I'll leave out the night before. It took them over an hour to get dressed for school yesterday - we were sooooo late! (And I'm amashed to say that I totally lost it with them) so my sanity and their health - they get dressed straight away!!
Off to see Ice Age 3 tomorrow at the cinema on a cheapy deal - 95p per adult and child - so works out at under £4.00!! (Will take my big bag with some sweeties in so we don't pay overinflated cinema prices!!)
Need to clean up the kitchen properly today and hoover downstairs.
Hope everyone is well -

Morning everyone.
Haven't read yesterdays thread and don't have time at present but will do so when I have a mo.
Only a very quick one from me. DD poorly, H poorly-ish, DS being a total PITA with his bad behaviour
Got to go and get him some pumps for PE for Monday - I swear nursery said it would start after half term.
Its my mums birthday today so will pop and see her later. Think they are coming round here tonight for pizza (ordered in not HM!) so one less thing for me to do today!!!
Anyway got to scoot - have a good day everyone OS or not.
PS. OMG please don't talk about spiders, they give me the shivers.......I have a gift for enraging people, but if I ever bore you it'll be with a knife

morning all!
3 days off now:j:j:j I hate working every other weekend.
have had a tidy up and am waiting for the WM to finish now so I can hang it out. Tea will be quorn bolognaise for me - an Asda curry for DH(an occasional treat for him as he loves it) will freeze the leftover bolognaise.
Other plans for today are to go shopping to kidderminster to get some grass seed and a few odds and ends. Then this evening will be devoted to Strictly which as usual I'm loving:T although its not the same without Arlene - no offense to Aleesha.
(((hugs))) to those in need, didn't read yesterdays thread due to sleeping in at work.
Hope you all have a lovely weekend xDo what you love :happyhear0 -
Morning everyone...really chilly here today.
Well already been to work, was a nice easy shift this morning
Hubby will be off to work soon, then i've gotta drop daughter off at a party after lunch, think me and the little one will then go to my mums til we have to pick daughter up again.
Hubby decided he wanted to clean all the pans last night, so made a paste up with vinegar, salt and lemon juice, smelt yuck but worked well and the smell of the vinegar has got rid of all the flies too which is a bonus!
Dinner today is chicken and leek pie with creamy mash topping0 -
Morning all
Today has started off well
I made some apple and sultana porridge in the SC last night and put it on the timer so it would be ready for this morning and it was
I've also got the BM on, so the smells in my kitchen right now are devine. If I had a coffee machine, I would probably be sat in there breathing in deeply through my nose
Weirdly, I love the smell of strong black coffee but not the taste
I've one more load to come out of the WM then it can have a rest for a couple of days. Hopefully I can get to dry off the last of the bedding. It looks quite dull out though. When I was able to do the bedding, I would split the days so mine would be one day, DD1's the next and DD2's the day after, but now it's all done on the same day so the WM is constantly on the go.
I've got a few things to do today. There's a bit of mending going on as DD1 needs some clothes taking in. She's so tall and so slim that to get something the right length means it doesn't always fit the waist. DD2 has ripped a pocket on her combat trousers and is desperate for me to sew those back, so she can wear them again.
I have some ironing to get out the way. Not much though as DD is helping there with T-shirts and things, so it will mainly be the jeans.
DD will be in the kitchen this afternoon with her friend, cake baking so she is responsible for cleaning up in there although I'm sure I will have to go round afterwards, but she loves her cooking so I encourage her as much as possible.
We've chicken for tonight, which will go in the SC once I've washed the porridge remnants out. It's in soak right now
Hope you all have a good day, whatever you're doing.

Hello Possums,
I've had a lovely day with DD today. The Young Victoria was a nice movie to watch. Had lunch and browsed the shops. Bought a lovely woollen jumper reduced to $10. I'm sure it will come in handy for our holiday.
The dust storm is back but not as bad as Wednesday. Looks a bit foggy out there. Hopefully if it's clear tomorrow we're cleaning the screens and washing the car.
I have to make some more zucchini pickle, make bread and do a few things in the kitchen tomorrow. The yard needs a mow too
I always think of Haribo when I say that but DH is going to do it tomorrow with a bit of luck.
Gert That's sounds a great deal. I love all the Ice Age movies, haven't seen 3 yet.
patentgirl I hope something comes along quickly for your DH.
I think when summer hits I"ll post you all a picture of OUR spiders.
I've come across ones their body bit is the size of a saucer. It makes you weak at your knees and your breathing goes funny.
Hope you all have a great day. ByeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeDon't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia.

Morning all,
Its a beautiful day here :T, bright and sunny with a bit of a nip in the air, i have one load on the line, one in the wm and another to do, should all get dry today :T
DD is off to meet her mate in town, so OH and I will be off walking with our picnic and coffee (OH carries it all
)
We need to hoover round and mop floors, dd is going to do her bedroom before she goes out and other than a general tidy that will be it for today.
HM pizza and coleslaw for tea, and we will be watching x-factor. I have never got into strictly.
I am going to get some vodka today for my grape vodka, might start that off tonight, I must do it soon.
Molly, hope you feel a bit better soon, xx
Haribo hope you are ok today xx
Re peppers, I have about 30 on 5 - 6 plants, which are all green, I am waiting to see if they turn red
, otherwise I will pick cook and freeze them, I have had a load of chillis too, and still have a load ripening.
Essex girl I hope your ds starts to feel better soon xx
Halight hope you are ok, you have not posted for a while x
Have good days all xx0 -
Good morning guys,
I am feeling better again today, not right but at least I can get up to the loo without getting out of breath again, good thing really as the antibiotics are having a side effect I don't normally get with them!!
I defrosted a chicken overnight and we will have that and baked potatoes for lunch, LO has asked for fish!!!! so It will be fish pie for tea.
OS wise, there is a wash to do, the weeks ironing (the x-factor and casualty will make that bearable tonight) and maybe a good clean upstairs - the kids can muck in and help.
No plans to go out today - it is cloudy and chilly and with my tummy it may not be a good idea. besides I don't feel like it.
I can't get over the fact that the kids haven't gone down with this, thankfully really as I wouldn't have coped with one of them ill as well.
Anyway, enjoy your weekend everyone and gentle hugs to anyone who needs one.
