I just wondered if I'd missed something, or if it was generic information.
Mind you, I'd like a range of colours so I could coordinate with my outfit. Or just 7 pink ones. :rotfl:Signature removed for peace of mind0 -
I'm very interested in getting something like this but have a problem with a metal allergy. I had a bracelet some years back -ideal with details of GP, next of kin, medication etc.. but then I developed this allergy to metal and can only wear plastic or fabric -like swatch watches.............is there anything like that on the market ?
Most of those on the links look like they'd be some sort of metal that would touch the skin.
Try Medic Alert (although you have to pay a subscription each year), they have them in stainless steel, silver and gold and even on swatch type bands.

These are engraved and you get a little card to keep in your purse or wallet0 -
Slightly off-topic, but my DD was given a free bus pass when she was diagnosed with epilepsy. She applied for it when she had to stop driving for a year but the bus pass is hers for life. If that's the case, then I'd have thought that all epileptics (even non-drivers) must be eligible for a bus pass. It would be worth looking into if any of you is/know someone with epilepsy.0

Our local council ran a scheme some years back (before I got my oap bus pass) where they issues tokens to be used on a local taxi or bus and they even gave enough to take a companion at half price. They were issued to anyone who couldn't drive for medical reasons.
They stopped the token scheme and introduced bus passes so I had one of those instead but it can't be used for taxis.
Worth enquiring at the local council offices. I only found out by accident when I was looking into rail travel discounts.
Horace - thanks for the link. I checked it out and most of them are metal, even the watched but the kids/sports range look like they're do the trick for me. (even though they're meant for kids.) They're fabric as far as I can tell with a metal disc attached.I would be unstoppable if only I could get started !

I was given a concessionary travel card (bus pass) as well when I was diagnosed with epilepsy but I have to re-apply every year. It is certainly not for life! Unless it works differently in different council areas?0 -
If I remember right I had to apply every year before I got the oap bus pass but it was really a formality.......they had my GP's letter confirming my epilepsy on file so it was just a case of a re-issue.
Sorry...........I'd forgotten about that..........been an oap for too long..............lolI would be unstoppable if only I could get started !
