Lots of really tasty-sounding meal plans again this week - I find this is the worst thread for making me feel really hungry!

I have an extra-long week this time as I'm off on holiday the week after next :j:j

Tonight - hm pizza with chorizo and jalapenos, plus a glass or two of wine as it has been a Really Bad Day, then, on the way home, I nearly ran over a cat which hadn't studied its green cross code
Saturday - minestrone soup and cheese & onion bread (both hm), then sticky toffee pudding and stewed fruit :o (naughty stuff!)
Sunday - possibly out with friends; if not, LO minestrone soup and bread
    Monday -
keema curry and naan bread (curry hm, naan bread not!)
Tuesday - poached egg and baked beans on toast
    Wednesday - courgette moussaka
    Thursday - tortelloni pasta bake
    Friday -
    macaroni and veg cheese
    Saturday - out for a friend's birthday - probably a curry
Sunday - steak, chips and salad

Back after a very long break!
  • Hi the shuffs

I don't have the E. Gastronomy book, I got the recipes off their website. I have not tried their shepherds pie before ( I usually make it using beef mince). I will let you know how it turns out!

Friday - pasta and sauce (from a packet :o) I fancied something warm, quick and easy (oh er! :p)

Saturday - going to see my brother and sister. I think we're going out for Chinese

Sunday - http://www.bbcgoodfood.com/recipes/5018/carrot-parsnip-and-horseradish-gratins this was a disaster...my own fault as didn't bother with cream and only used half the stated amount of milk instead, so after 1.5 hours in the oven it was raw. 20 minutes later in the microwave it was cooked, but shrivelled and horrible. I had a bit, but gave up and had an apple instead :(

Monday - [STRIKE]leftover gratin from Sunday[/STRIKE] I blended what was left into a soup and had it with some homemade bread

Tuesday - [STRIKE]chicken stirfry with noodles[/STRIKE] Forgot to take chicken out the freezer so had beans on toast (using the HM bread) instead :o

Wednesday - pasta with leek and bacon

Thursday - [STRIKE]honey and paprika chicken with chickpea cous cous[/STRIKE] went to my dad's - had chilli and rice

Friday - [STRIKE]sausage and bean stew[/STRIKE] leftover pasta

Saturday - [STRIKE]sausage and bean stew[/STRIKE] will attempt stirfry

Sunday - tuna fishcakes with potato wedges

It's all changed as i've gone off food for some reason!

Hi, everyone - this is my first time post on this board - have decided need to be more organised & stop wasting food, I am forever forgetting to take things out of the freezer and using it as an excuse to order a take-away:rolleyes:, so here goes my tea time meal plan starting from Monday:

Monday: Beef Casserole & Lg Yorkshire puds, followed by Jelly for the kids.
Tuesday: Fish, chips & peas (from the freezer), followed by Ice-cream.
Wednesday: Broccolli & Chicken Bake, followed by hm brownies.
Thursday: Pasta, sauce, garlic bread & crudites, followed by fresh fruit salad.
Friday: hubby on nights, kids at nannas - only me -this is were I tend to just have a bowl of cereal but will try to be healthy & have Jkt pot & salad.
Saturday: Steak, new pots & salad. (sandwiches for lunch)
Sunday: Roast Dinner at mums, (sandwiches or toasties for tea)

Fingers crossed I stick to it, good luck to everyone sticking to yours;)
  • This is mine:

Sunday – HG spinach and squash lasagne, salad

Monday – Latin American beef casserole (using HG peppers, squash and sweetcorn), baked potatoes

Tuesday – Maqluba (using HG aubergines and tomatoes)

    Wednesday – tuna pasta bake

    Thursday – quesadillas and salad

    Friday – HM bean burgers

Saturday – Pizza and Strictly; ice cream

The apple braids I made last week (using apples from the garden :D ) have gone down well, so I'm making more of them. I leave them un-iced for breakfasts ;) I've also make flapjack and cranberry brownies for the children to take as snacks.

  • Hello everyone! Here's mine, and sorry for being late :s

Sunday: Out, but HM meat feast pizza if we need it - mmmm (pepperoni, shredded BBQ pork, bacon, mushroom, onion, peppers and cheese)
Monday: HM Lasagne from freezer with garlic bread and salad
    Tuesday: At Mum's
    Wednesday: Out for a meal
Thursday: Chicken Saag Masala with extra spinach and wild rice (sauce from a jar)
Friday: Meat Feast Pasta (usually bacon and sausages in a spicy tomato sauce)
Saturday: Bit of a party, so jacket potatoes with a big bowl of either jambalaya or chilli, beans or tuna/cheese to feed the masses!
Sunday: Probably leftovers, failing that, I'll roast a chicken and have the works with it :)

misscousinitt - those cajun skewers sound lovely! Which seasoning are you using?

Breakfasts are to be cereal or on a weekend, toast and marmite. Lunches will be sandwiches or soup with broken up noodles in - weekend lunches will probably be a bacon and egg sandwich! For snacks, there is fruit and some yoghurts, and I shall probably make some low-fat raspberry muffins during the week to use up the raspberries in my freezer. And there are still some blackberry and apple crumbles in the freezer, not to mention stewed plums and two lots of stewed apples to make a cracking apple pie (or two).

Hope everyone has a good week, and I always love reading mealplans :)

Kitchenbunny - the most adventurous I have been with hm pizza is cheese, tom & ham, my oh would love your meat feast pizza - the meat toppings are they pre-cooked or put on raw and how long would you cook it for?? Many thanks.
  • :T thanks for this thread :T - it's pursuaded me to get organised. Here'a the menu for me and babywiggle (11 months), DH will have to have whatever I can find Sunday and Tuesday as he doesn't eat what we're having!!

Sunday - me: mince and veg (frozen leftovers) with jacket potato
babywiggle (DS): golden drummers with hidden carrot waffle bites.

Monday - burgers, boiled potatoes and veg (not sure which yet)

Tuesday - fish/ fishfingers, chips and peas

Wednesday - toad in the hole and mash

Thursday - sausage, bacon and potato cooked in gravy

    Friday - pizza
