And I need some ideas from all you clever helpful people!!

Next Friday me & DH are off to Butlins for our 80s weekend, and I am still not sorted for our fancy dress  Obviously I have no spare money  to buy or hire costumes, so can anyone suggest anything fairly simple that I could throw together???

Few ideas, maybe some of your local charity shops will have something -

    Stonewash skinny jeans
    Layered/ra'ra skirt's
    Flourescent / loud colours
Bright coloured t-shirts/spandex & leggins (think Fame)
    Shoulderpadded blouse/jacket (Dynasty etc)
    Big earrings/necklaces
    Big hairsprayed/punk hair
    loads of eyeshadow

No you're not a vegetarian if you eat any animal or fish, so do not insult genuine veggies by calling yourself one!

Thanks to everyone who posts competitions. You are the stars of the board :T:j:T

:j:j I managed to 'escape' from work early :j:j

Sorry to hear about the interview Candy - hope you find something you like soon.

    Just about to cook supper

Trying to think what to wear to a wedding tomorrow  Work has been too manic to spare the time to go shopping. I have a nice enough dress, but my only pair of heels has fallen apart  (though in fairness they are very old - I can't walk in many pairs, due to extreme clumsiness - but can hobble around in these, or at least I could before the soles fell off ) I am envious of your stiletto dexterity Fay :rotfl:

Oh well, I'm sure nobody will be looking at my feet anyway, so I will just wear something comfy.

Have a nice evening everyone :hello:

    Hi All

Just a few things for me today:
    - worked hard at the office (phew! - they are getting good value from me lately)
    - checked banking - same old, same old
    - scratchies and clicks
    - no heating
    - meals from whatever I can find in the house !
    - No Spend Day
    - checked for freebies
    - used some more freebie toiletries
    - made a big list of things to get sorted this weekend (to keep me out of trouble and focussed - nothing very exciting, but things I've been putting off)
    - checked CCCS website
    - smoked less so as to delay the need to buy tobacco until tomorrow - eek !
    - used free texts to keep in touch
    - will read tonight for free entertainment
    - given DS his pocket money
    - took makeshift lunch to work

    Think that's it

    :)
Aiming to be debt-free, and have my degree, by 50 ! :j
