    Morning people!

    Yay for friday! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

    Today I am:
    • dropping DS at nursery ON FOOT :)
    • checking online banking, its my payday too
    • paying nursery, rent and nasty water bill from old address which has been hanging about for too long... not good
    • getting wormers and frontline for the cats from the vets - an unexpected expense I could do without
    • doing big shop (at Aldi instead of Tesco, its really not that bad and you do save money)
    • putting some money on my credit card account - yay! Think we'll start with EGG.
    • investing in some energy saving liughtbulbs for my lights... we have 2 ceiling lights with 6 x 60w candle bulbs in each. Might cost me £20 to change them all but will save in the long run
    • and finally Im going to try and work out how to diplomatically nag my other half about leaving things on standby... grr!

    Have a great Friday DFW's. :T

    Morning everyone,

Fay - glad you got your slowcooker, you'll be addicted to it before long!

Candy - sorry to hear about bad interview, sometimes these things just don't happen.

Mogchops - liking Fay's idea for your fancy dress, there is so much 80s stuff in the shops at the moment you should be able to pick up a few bits dirt cheap - supermarket? primark?

    Today I have/will,
    • Breakfast at home
    • Lunch from store cupboard
    • Going to work party tonight with a free buffet and drinks so hopefully a cheap night
    • Phone joiner and chase him up for when he can come and do the door in the flat
    • Phone tiler and chase him up for when he can come and do the bathroom
    • Check banking
    • Dry washing outside for free
Have got my first riding lesson this afternoon - paying for it with the money I've saved on food shopping. I am so excited!!

Hope everyone has a good Friday xx

Starnac which has the higher interest rate - that might help you decide?

jojonic - Waves to Ainst'r (isn't that how its pronounced ie aboslutely nothing like the way its spelt?) OH lives down in K'dy

Painted lady - how's the ebay coming along?

Candy hugs and Katy good luck (yup am v pleased with slow cooker, one phone call to 300 miles away and hey presto as if by magic I got one!)

Another thread (festive fling) mentioned something about spending money in Sainsbugs and getting a return rail ticket anywhere for £15 - ?

http://www.scotrail.co.uk/sainsburys - for once I am sorry to say its ONLY Scotland (I think)

    Might be similar offers elsewhere?

Ever wonder about those people who spend £2 apiece on those little bottles of Evian water? Try spelling Evian backward.

Hello, not posted here before but read every so often (as you can see I am also originally from round your neck of the woods!

Anyway, thought you might like to know that you can get the frontline and worming tablets online and through Quidco for cheaper than in the vets - I got 6 months supply of Frontline and Drontal for my one cat for about £20 inc P&P and it came really quick - I will need to go and check the actual website I used but can and come back and let you know.

Hi everyone, welcome to newbies! Not a LSD day today as I had to fill the car up and buy milk and stuff, but quite productive nonetheless.

    1) SC 3 x10p
    2) Checked bank, quidco etc
    3) Did a survey for £3
    4) Bought jeans for me and a jumper for OH from charity shop.
    5) 3 loads of Hokey Cokey drying in the glorious sunshine. Honestly, it is bew-tiful today!:D
    6) Gave a bag of clothes to charity.
    7) Started the great kitchen declutter. I still have some of T's baby bottles and he is 4 :o. May try and freecycle some of my old stuff.
    8) Took T for a walk in the sun after school for free exercise.
    9) Got loads of good library books out including "The Christmas Book"(:o sorry!) to give me some ideas.
    10) Had leftovers for lunch.
    11) Will have a frugal Spanish omelette for tea to use up other bits.
    12) Will also make a banana loaf to use up grotty bananas.
    13) Went into Boots and came out empty handed!:D A big deal for me.

    Have a sparkly evening, L x
