As far as I know a levy on a car does not have to be signed.
Although your car was hidden he may have driven past before and noted the details.
How much is your car worth?
In our area although bailiffs levy on cars they don't usually take them as the hassle is too much and it is usually enough of a threat to make people pay. How much do you owe?

thanks for replying they said about 750 now with charges which i am checking are legal
the council tax is in my name but the car is in my husbands would this help or do they see it as a joint account even if it is in just my name
can i hide the car in a garage even if they have levied on it0 -
Have you not tried to make an arrangement with them to pay. Even if the charges turn out to be wrong it sounds like you owe something.
Someone will be along soon to answer your query about the car, its still early.Tallyhoh! Stopped Smoking October 2000. Saved £29382.50 so far!0 -
i had a posted letter last friday saying they would be coming within 48 hours
couldn't get hold of them till the monday
said she would give me until 7pm that night to see if i could get the money asked me if i could borrow off friends or family
phoned back at 7 videoed call and put on loudspeaker that i had done what she had asked about borrowing off family as i was sure this was illegal and that i couldnt pay asked to pay 50 a month they refused
phoned council they said after 2 attempts they send it back to them then i could set up a repayment
baliff came tuesday whilst i was out pushed a letter through the door
baliff came again last night thursday whilst out pushed a letter through saying they had levied on my husbands car
can i say that i sold the car last thursday before i recieved the 1st letter
can i hide it in a families garage what would happen
they also put an asterix at the bottom of the letter where it says about getting your goods as if to say she could come in to get my stuff
