Has anybody else had the email from 'get me a ticket' saying something like ''you've done the hard work now start winning''? Im not sure if they sent it out by mistake but after i found out Pigsback had changed the terms and conditions (ahem  ) i entered at least 2 quizes. Be interested to know if this was just me?

Back on track now and set to change on a Wednesday as before.

Can you PM me your email address please? I'll credit you with some PiggyPoints. Also, remember to let us know these things at postmaster@pigsback.com :)

    Thanks

    Darragh

Darragh I emailed pigsback fao of you in the early hours of Friday to let you know the West of Ireland quiz wasn't working. As of yet I haven't had a reply.

I only joined pigsback a few weeks ago, but joined to get a piggy bank. They disappeared a day or so after joining - are they discontinued?? It's all I was really after to be honest for my loose change!

There are a lot of people not getting their points and this is a point you continue to ignor.

    Hi Broken hearted

Thanks for your post. I'm sorry but I'd just like to clarify whether you mean that

    A) I'm ignoring people on here that post they haven't gotten their PiggyPoints

    or

    B) I'm (or Pigsback are) generally ignoring members who haven't been credited PiggyPoints.

I'll ask you to forgive my spelling/grammatical errors below:

On the first point (and I'm sorry to seem like I'm justifying myself here) when I can get a chance to come on here I tend to go to my last post and read from there until the last one, so I don't answer any particular type of post first (or indeed ignore any).

Depending on when I last logged on this can be a lot of posts (like today was two weeks (or 20 pages on my screen) of Droopsnout's signature staying or going (it should defo stay, IMHO), the post splitting or not splitting, pleas to stop arguing, to stop posting pigsback stuff, to stop posting anything but Pigsback stuff, to idol chit-chat (I like that one), to quiz and crossword answers (and "well done for doing it quicker than I did")) and then the queries that I should be looking at.

Once I read them all, I'll go back and reply to the ones that have an easy answer that I know (I have poor Rachel and Karolina plagued asking them for the answers!) or that can be shared with the board. Sometimes I'll PM a member for more details or answer them by PM or will have to go and find out why something isn't updating, or isn't available etc, or just to clarify something, so it can be a long process sometimes.

For those missing PiggyPoints, I'll always recommend postmaster@pigsback.com. We do our very best to ensure that member's PiggyPoints are credited when they should be, and if not, we try and prioritise getting their PiggyPoints to them.

On the second point, this simply isn't true. Most of our daily transactions go through without a hitch and when they don't we try to help as much as we can. Sometimes we have to ask for proof of purchase, confirmation of signing up to things etc, and we have to deal with members who query PiggyPoints after 4 hours when they're due in 14 days, who haven't signed up using their registered email address, haven't made a minimum deposit, haven't made a successful bid, haven't even gone through the site OR we have request information from clients and they don't get back to us on time. But we're improving constantly and we consistently try to make this better.

I'm sorry I can't answer every query on here with the same urgency and priority but I have to work on an economy of scale in some semblance of order - I choose to do it by date posted in that order, and then I also don't want to be taking up too much unnecessary space in this thread with things that aren't relevant to other members.

A lot is made of the fact (it seems) that I'm on here at all, and I thank those who recognise that. Sometimes it's just too much for companies to take on or there's not familiar with the importance and potential information and resource that somewhere like this is. It's still an emerging technology in the Internet world and that and blogging are two things that Internet websites like ours are having to become familiar with.

You also need to look at the way some companies are choosing to deal with things (one that I'm really interested in seeing how this is taken...) Have a look at Seth Godin's blog. He is one of the foremost thinkers online at the moment (to call him an Internet Guru is a complete underestimate of his wisdom) and he has some great, provoking and interesting thoughts. This one I was intrigued by, and can see the wisdom in:

    http://sethgodin.typepad.com/seths_blog/2006/04/the_customer_is.html

I'm not drawing comparisons in any way with any of our members, but in terms of not answering some people's posts like "Pigsback are crap, no one gets their PiggyPoints, I'm going to leave etc etc", (not picking on anyone here at all) personally I choose to accept the post without comment and move on to try and answer someone who I can help. I could spend a lifetime arguing here about the merits or problems of Pigsback.com but I'd prefer to look at it that some people like us, some people don't.

    To quote studentloan:
You cant make some people happy

They complain when you give them stuff for free that they are not getting enough

My granny would say it is biting the hand that feeds you

We do some things well, we do some things not so well and need to improve and then some times we make a mistake, but will always try to make amends. Facing facts, we're a company less than a year here with 250,000 UK members, and we're VERY proud of the work we've done to date. Yes, things need to improve and we're working hard on it.

For any help with your account, the best place to go is postmaster@pigsback.com. Simple as that :)

    Thanks

Darraghd, i cant enter jackpots with firefox. the enter seems to not be a button. However in Internet Explorer it works fine.

Not sure if this is the same for others but i was wondering if you could shed some light on the matter.

Hey, I'm aware our tech team are looking into this. Believe it or not, most of our members are using IE (remember MSE'rs, but before you react that you're probably classified as an avid internet user) and like amost sites Pigsback.com is optimised for same. However we're changing this - but, it's a big site so I'd ask for your patience...

    Thanks

Absolutely no problem there - just email your details to postmaster@pigsback.com and they'll be happy to sort you out!
