brilliant, i overpay £40 a month on a large mgage, but again like you with the thought that its better than not paying anything at all, and when time changes etc i will increase as i can.
Good luck withthe journey!Mortgage free 04/03/2025. Thanks to this site and lots of overpayments bit by bit.
Next stop: house repairs, holiday fund, replace our very old cars, more financial security/early retirement savings.🤞0 -
Well done, every little helps. If you can OP £120 a month just now then, assuming interest rates stay low, you will really be able to make progress come next June.
In the meantime read lots of other diaries and get some ideas on how to increase your OP's - do you use quidco for example, and are you getting the best possible power deals?
Welcome on board
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort

£5, £50, £500, it all makes a difference. The longer you've got to go, the bigger the difference it makes.
I wish I'd started an overpayment/investment plan in 1989, not 2001. I might be mortgage free by now.
Good luck!!

A couple of survey sites although i am choosey as to which ones i go with.
I have tried daily clicks but i find this needs a lot of effort and energy.
I sell occassionally on ebay but i have to be in right frame of mind as find listing items terribly time consuming.
I dont think theres anything else at the moment anybody know of anything else would be great

Hello Stacey
Glad to see your doing well now
I'm still going lol although seem to be a bit more organised with it now
Well done on all you've done, especially all the overpayments for your mortgage, as you (and Tesco) say, every penny counts
I've actually just started a PaD of 1p a day, when I can afford more I'll add a bit more to it as I'm hoping to get a nice new computer
I've started using TopCashBack religously now, if there is anything I need to buy (presents etc) I go through there, made £4.50 so far lol Still umming and aahing on doing shopping on internet and getting it delivered, would save me energy going out and getting it and cant get lost trying to find odd bits and bobs lol

I'm sure you'll manage it
I cant even get a mortgage as have no deposit, also as we want to move back to Cornwall eventually we would be better off renting and saving a deposit, then when we move back we can buy a house
