£85 - has all I require - 90 day warranty. The only thing lacking is the WinXp discs - preloaded but no discs included in the package.
The one Pendulum listed is going through in 20 mins. I'm nervous as to whether to bid0 -

Did you get the one Pendulum listed as i note that closed at a good price of Just £50 plus p&p ???
Also the one I showed you was only an example, but to remove the dvd and replace with a dvd rw would have been very easy and only a few pound more unless your current model had one of these installed then you could have just swapped them over. quite an easy job to do really.

No
Got distracted and missed it by seconds
I don't know how to change CD/DVD drives sadly.
I'm going nuts now as can't find an ideal PC and i'm being pressured. I'll end up buying some duffer and lose a load of money at this rate. Been looking for 24 hours now and I feel i'm further away than ever
If it's not got one thing, it's another thing and so on. I'll end up with no warranty and it'll die within days and i'll get it in the neck for buying a problem computer and be ££'s down
I wish I knew the first thing about PC's and i'd find what I wanted quickly.
Having this machine doesn't help................takes ages between pages0 -
Take a look on the Dell Outlet, where they sell refurbished computers.
The only bad thing is the computers on there don't come with an upgrade to Windows 7.0 -
Thanks Marty. Will take a look
Alot of the systems don't have Windows installed, or if they do, don't come with the CD.
Is there a legal way of making a copy of windows off of my current PC, or does it have to be an actual Microsoft copy?
I'm going to end up buying any old one in a minute as i'm getting the hurry up :rolleyes:0 -
I think I may go for this one...

It says...
User Activation of the Windows operating system will be required but is free.
Is this simple?
I'm tired now. Apart from eating, sleeping and music on in the background, i've done nothing for 28 hours, so i'm going to gamble now. I just have to hope I get it right as I really have no idea what i'm doing0 -
I went for this one in the end.
£90 - 3 month warranty, has what I want and I could be more flush after Christmas to get something better should this one knacker out!
Has some good reviews (I researched). Only negative comment was about it's power supply being weak under power cuts if not used with a surge protector, but I thought that was the same with all PC's? Anyway, I have 3 power supplies from old Pc's here if it needs replacing (assuming they are suitable).
If anyone wants to tell me it's not bad for the price or to quickly cancel my order, please do
It's a a few times better than what I have right now anyway
Thanks to crystal clear for linking me to the site and everyone for their comments and help.

If you have an independent shop try there. I got my Dell for £80 it is secondhand but came with a legal copy of Windows, so my ds was able to reformat when it got very slow. Anyway I am happy with it.Anyone who lives within their means suffers from a lack of imagination:beer:

Sounds like you got lucky :T
My locals are known for being a bit dodgy.
Cash Generator had one (not that I shop there as they are even more dodgy). It was something like 40 GB HD, 512mb Ram and it looked old and they wanted £249
I hope the one I bought is as successful as yours :T0 -
Yep, I think that is a reasonable buy, you haven't done bad there. £90 delivered for a half decent system like that is fair enough. No XP disk (& maybe no legit COA\license) but no biggie. Let us know how you get on with it?0
