morning, just waiting for the all clear from Edgar (only one lil sicky burp so far so fingers crossed!!) then I can put him in the car safe in the 'knowledge' he won' t throw up while I'm driving. the bloke from the garage only had 1 tyre hence me having to go back, I left my wheel with him and he said he'd try and make the chunk of missing alloy look less scary so hubby doesn't kill me :A I love my garage!

I'll cross the fingers on my other hand for Elijah, Bruno :)
When I had GE I was hideously ill with the d&v for 2 days then just felt rough for about a week so hopefully he's through the d&v bit now.
I found it hard to eat for ages after though (not good as I got it at Christmas when food was thrust at me constantly!) does he like dry rice? Strangely Chris loves dry rice and plain chicken so that'll be handy if/when he gets and tummy bugs

Definitely better! He had a feed at 12am, 4am and then 8am - the 4am one he demolished the bottle in 15mins in his sleep!

Was going to get him weighed today but CBA to o out and he's having his 8 week check next week so will be weighed then.

Anyone know how long after birth u can have a smear?
Got one booked for next Monday so will be 7 and a half weeks but my friend thinks it's too soon and might show abnormal cells

Bruno - Glad E is feeling a bit better

Sami - at your tyre! Just told OH that u hit the curb - he would moan like hell if I did that even though it's my car that I pay for every month!

Oh and jst tried my mobile and it works :j

Tip - after dropping phone down the loo, don't switch it on! Let it dry out for a week first :rotfl:

Susan Dare I ask what you're doing here at 3.56am?
I couldn't sleep so came downstairs to get a cup of tea and watch something on iPlayer.

 Poor Alice has just been frightened by a delivery man. I was lying in bed because I was tired from being awake in the night and Alice was playing with her lego on the bed. I had been up for breakfast but hadn't got dressed and was just having a lie down. I let Alice go downstairs to get a balloon from the living room and just after she got downstairs a delivery man knocked on the door. I didn't want to answer because I wasn't dressed but he must've seen Alice through the window as he knocked loads of times and knocked on the window which frightened Alice so then she came upstairs upset and said the man was trying to get her. Usually parcel people run off so quickly after knocking I have to chase after them unless I'm right by the door when they knock.

I'm so bad Glam, It was worse because my stupid mum wouldn't let it drop when she popped round last night - kept going on that if it was a pot hole I should complain to the council(I told DH and dad that I didn't know what it was). This from the woman that gave me the 'shut up right now Dad is in earshot' face when I asked what happened to her bumper :rotfl: I would have told her the truth but I hadn't had chance to speak to her away from the disapproving menfolk :p

    Poor Alice :(

I can't decide this morning if I'm getting sick or just exhausted. Could go either way - I'm just about to get something to eat after sleeping/feeding Molly all morning. Her latch feels all weird now she has teeth, and it seems like it's uncomfortable/odd to her too. Hopefully she'll get used to it.

Ooh, and I made a giant Ann Summers undies order last night, if anyone's interested it's the Rebecca range and a Retro bra - £25>£2. There's a £5 WYS £50 code too "SPOOKY". I spent £51 and got it down to £46, and there's a toy I want too so will order that once more money's gone into my account.

Hope everyone's doing better than I am today.

Bruno – hope Elijah and OH feel better.

Hugs to all other sick babies and parents as there seemed to be a lot of them around yesterday.

Hooray for all of the teeth coming through! Everyone seemed to be at it yesterday!

Glam/Jillie – we have been using variflow teats since the start. Holly doesn’t have a problem devouring her milk, in fact she spills so much that we went and bought slow flow a few weeks ago, but they made no difference. I think sometimes she is just a lazy feeder and doesn’t take the teat properly. No wonder we had problems BFing! Anyway, what I found annoying was that after buying 2 slow flow teats, they got mixed up with the variflow and there doesn’t seem to be any different markings on them so we have no idea which ones are which now. Do yours have different markings on them?

We had our first proper outing yesterday, just Holly and I. We went to a shopping centre! Woo hoo. It went ok and she slept whilst being pushed around in the pram, and in the car. Minor lessons learned for next time – remember to take raincover for pram as we picked the wettest day to go out in and didn’t get parked near the building. And also, just ask someone where the lift is rather than wasting half an hour looking for it in M&S and being too shy to ask. Not that the first floor was worth it as they had very little stock of young kids clothes!

Holly is still suffering from trapped wind and is no longer the little angel that she once was. She isn’t bad really, but it’s become extremely demanding. The Dentonox ran out, so she is now on Infacol to see if that will help ease her pain.

Better go and make up bottles and try and shower before she wakes again. She fell asleep quite quickly at her last feed, but I don’t think it will last.

Ideally yes, before 9 would be better for her, but gradually she has went longer and longer, she is in BED for that time, she just doesn't sleep until well after it
The reason she is in my bed is because she got really sick for a few days so I kept her in with me so I could keep an eye on her, and she didn't want to leave after it, and I admit I quite like having her in bed with me but It's gotten to the point where she doesn't even contemplate sleeping in her own bed, so it needs nipped in the bud.

She does get a story before bed, and also a snack of fruit/yoghurt/cereal.

So its snack - pyjamas on - teeth brushed - story in bed.

She is 3, so still only young!

I'm not some chav mum who sits her in front of a TV and lets her fall asleep where she lands you know! She has a routine, it's just later than most and I'm aware she needs to go down earlier because she's a moody sod by 2pm because she is tired.

Good idea. The new bed stuff will be a great way of making her bed seem special and starting a new routine.
Sounds like you need to take a firmer line and stick to it. That's the problem. Once you have one night where you go back to your old routine the work you'll have done up to that point will be undone completely.

How old is she? You were saying she was still up at 11pm? Surely kids under 10 need to be in bed before 9?
Kids thrive to routine. Sure, they play their face occasionally and sure you'll have it VERY tough for the first few days as she gets used to a routine but your life (and hers) will improve immeasurably as she gets less grumpy due to tiredness.

Don't shout at her to go back to bed or anything like that when she gets up but do take her straight back and don't get sidetracked.
The supernanny knack of reading to them before bed is good. Make sure you explain to her that it's a story before bed though. Don't spring surprises. Keep everything calm.
(Once you set the routine though, don't then think you can miss part of it out cos you're tired. eg that reading has to be done every night til she's well established in her new bed time. It will take a couple of weeks for her body to get used to it.)

Good luck and just remember it is for her benefit as well as yours.

fitzio - the slow teats have a 1 on and the varifow have a X

also the variflow r much bigger.

I need to start Jack back on the Infacol - I stopped cos of the Gaviscon but whilst it helps with the gagging it doesn't help for wind

I'm still in bed :o Jack asleep on my chest - not doing my pert boobies any good will end up with one droopy one at this rate! :rotfl:
