Oh and her princess duvet Im buying this week to encourage to go back to sleeping in her own bed, getting ridiculous!

Good idea. The new bed stuff will be a great way of making her bed seem special and starting a new routine.
Sounds like you need to take a firmer line and stick to it. That's the problem. Once you have one night where you go back to your old routine the work you'll have done up to that point will be undone completely.

How old is she? You were saying she was still up at 11pm? Surely kids under 10 need to be in bed before 9?
Kids thrive to routine. Sure, they play their face occasionally and sure you'll have it VERY tough for the first few days as she gets used to a routine but your life (and hers) will improve immeasurably as she gets less grumpy due to tiredness.

Don't shout at her to go back to bed or anything like that when she gets up but do take her straight back and don't get sidetracked.
The supernanny knack of reading to them before bed is good. Make sure you explain to her that it's a story before bed though. Don't spring surprises. Keep everything calm.
(Once you set the routine though, don't then think you can miss part of it out cos you're tired. eg that reading has to be done every night til she's well established in her new bed time. It will take a couple of weeks for her body to get used to it.)

Good luck and just remember it is for her benefit as well as yours.

Hi Searchie  - are you smelling better now?

It looks like everyone is busy having real lives this morning - how very dare they?

I'm off for a walk up to Matalan - Mum has requested a cardi for her birthday. She gave me a very detailed description, but hasn't actually seen it anywhere. I think Matalan is a good place to start.

Then i'm planning to sort out the mountain of 3-6 month clothes that are on the dinner table! I'm thinking of storing the summer stuff, to ebay in March/April, and putting the warmer stuff on now.

Baby slept very well :T - I was expecting a disturbed night with her big lumpy gum/tooth.

    See you all later.

    Hi all,

Elijah seemed to be on the up this morning - although he woke upset at 4.30, got a BF, woke up again at 5.45, got settled again, woke at 6.30 - which is not perfect! - none of it involved dirty nappies or vomiting :p

He seemed more cheerful for me when I got up with him this morning, and ate a bit more breakfast (I was cautious about stuffing him), still wanting lots of cuddles though which isn't the usual him of charging around all morning poking stuff - waiting to get an update from OH as to whether he continued good.
