How long did you cook it for? We are having roast chicken but just with chicken breasts and I didn't think I had enough time in the SC. Nearly ready and I cant wait!

SS - Have heard it called a Minnie  We just said Fanny when I was a little girl :p

  • Sm - I'm not sure it's gonna fit. I'll have to see tomorrow after I've hacked off the legs and thighs (I'll use them to make a casserole ;) and just roast the crown)
SS - I heard twinkle and fairy too - although with all the fairy post about that might not be a good idea :rotfl:

    Caz it's just the RAC breakdown people - 08705 722 722 :)

Thanks everyone, we can't use fanny cause she's half American and that's a butt in the US. I think we're going to go with "bits", although Husband is whinging cause he knows so many words for it and I won't let him use any of them :rotfl:

Used to be a fairy when I was growing up!

Caz - lovely to see you, hope your hubby gets back OK!!

Feeling bit icky today, and really tired lately too. Doesn't help that I am quite stressed. We have started on the christmas pressies yay, have got two for Kai and one each for the boys so far, not much but at least we have started. Just got a phone call from FIL too he wants to know what all three boys want for christmas!! I really don't know!

Hi all, I am just popping over from the pregnancy thread with a probably stupid question:

With the skin on skin that they recommend straight after birth how does that work? This probably sounds really stupid but I was planning on going through labour wearing a old T-shirt and am now thinking if the baby gets put straight on me do I have to take my T-shirt off and expose myself to everyone?? Or should I just be wearing my old dressing gown so can just snuggle the baby inside? It was just one of the many things I have now started thinking about:o

Also I seem to have been given a lot of clothes but no bibs- any recommendations on how many I should need? I currently have 5 but have no idea whether or not I need them?

Any info will be greatly received :D

PS Elle can't believe Rhys is now 5 months doesn't seem that long ago you were on the preg thread!

I just too my top off after birth and did skin to skin - I had no bottoms on by then so was totally naked and didn;t care a bit. But I did give birth at home so just OH and two midwifes and the doula to see me. But I reckon you won;t care!

As for bibs - Lilia is 12 weeks and only now do we need some because of drool. Up to now we haven;t bothered and the ones I bought for her in newborn size haven;t ever been used. If you'd like those, the Fairies could bring them to you?
