his mum wants us, as in OH, me, Christopher and Katie, to go to hers for crimbo dinner. but that leaves his dad on his own, cos he wont be with his fancy woman. and my mum and dad also want us there as mum is having my sisters, and nephew and granny for crimbo dinner.

i think we will sort it out by just having our own family christmas dinner. visit everyone in the morning. also means that Katie can play with the toys that Santa has left her!!

If you didn't see my post......i've told everyone, they know where we are, and they're welcome to visit but can !!!!!! off before dinner time when we'll have our own little family xmas dinner.

With my family, we've done a sort of rota, everyone here, or everyone at mums. That was when I was with ex-oh whose family were like shameless, so they weren't included.
For the first few years I was with this OH, his mum was a PITA. OH would wake here, open pressies, then go home for dinner, before coming back here for bedtime. His dad always manages to work xmas day (crafty booger:D!), so the one time OH said he was staying here, she said 'well I won't bother making christmas dinner then, i'll have beans on toast'. Guilt trip or what!
This year, i've realised my step-dad is the most miserable grumpy old man on the planet! I've seen him max 3 times this year, for 5 minutes each time - and never get a conversation out of him. So when mum said it was her turn to have us this year, I said we're staying at home, with our little family. She said step dad would be upset! I told her, He cant be ar5ed the rest of the year, but expects to play happy families at xmas? Booger off!
I'm not sure OH has told his mum what we're doing yet - i shall wait for the fall out!

(Sorry that turned into a little personal rant!)

Chrismas here is great, I love it
We have christmas day at our house and my mum dad MIL, FIL and occassionally my sister visit in the morning to see Jasmine. Then they all go do their own thing, we have dinner and Jas can do what she wants Normally have a few friends round for a drink on christmas night, then we take in turns to visit on boxing day, this year MIL is getting us for lunch and my mum is getting us for tea, next year it will be swapped.

I've had an idea, well it was actually a dream last nite, Weezl was a week before her EDD and I told everyone they had to sing POP goes the weezl and the babe would pop out :rotfl:

Actually elle, I felt really bad last time I asked as I felt it was me delving into far to personal an issue, so I wasnt going to ask
