Tia/MM - if you add the powder when needed, have you kept the water in the fridge before you add the powder? I think I am doing what you used to do for Jas MM.

Scruffy - I am in Lanarkshire, halfway between Glasgow and Edinburgh. You in Aberdeen?

I did at the start, and then forgot too many times after they had cooled to put them in the fridge, so stopped !! Now when the bottles are steralised I put them together and set them on the counter and add the water and milk when needed.

When I did Jasmines I made up a days worth of bottles before I went to bed at night, cooled them quickly in the sink and then kept them in the fridge, heating as needed, and if I was going out somewhere I put them in the bag (not an insulated one) and heated it when needed. However I now think it is easier to cool down that heat up when out, so I would take a bottle of boiling water, and cool it down and add the powder.

Hmm, I have been putting the hot bottles straight into the fridge to cool down and then heating them when needed by sitting them in hot water to get them to room temperature. Should I be cooling them naturally before putting them in the fridge? This is what happens when I don't follow the rules!

DH starts back work tomorrow so I was staying up to give Holly a feed around now as she is due to wake up. Then he was going to get up around 6am and feed her then before going to work. He has just come down stairs saying he can't sleep!! He will be knackered for starting back work now and probably won't be able to get up at 6am. Flaming man. I should have went to bed hours ago instead!

    Better go. Night all. x
  • Night fitz,

By the way dont think it matters how you cool them (although I could be wrong) but it is not good for the food in the fridge if you are putting hot bottles straight into it. Same principle behind allowing met to cool before you store it in the fridge :)

    I'm here , morning Sugar :)

We're not normally up this early but there was a rumble in the jungle so I had to change her. She's now asleep on me now I've fed her, but somehow I've ended up on here.........................

Hmmmm won a snowsuit on ebay last night for 99p, paid via paypal then went to bed. Just checked now and my payment's been refunded. The seller says it was re-listed by accident and that it had already been sold . They only have 1 feedback, methinks they were a bit miffed at it only going for 99p.

Edit: just browsing and noticed this from mamas and papas

    Morning all..

Currently doing our "middle of the night" feed. OH brought Rhys though to the living room and left him screaming while he sorted the bottle. I got up to comfort Rhys and got passed the bottle and OH went back to bed. Tactic to get us out of the bedroom I think - charming!

Feeding (done) and expressing (in progress) then we're going to kick him out of a nice warm bed :p

Have just realised Rhys is chewing his hand. I thought he was muching on his blanket, not great, but moved the blanket to find he was actually trying to shove his whole fist in his mouth

How annoying pinkpig - you could keep an eye on their listings and buy it again if it turns up again ;)

I've just seen the free 10 cards offer on touchnote.co.uk (code on the freebies board) and I'm making birthday cards for the next year.

Argos Clearance had a M&P footmuff/changing bag combination for £15 from £35. I can't find the link now but I had one reserved and my mother says it's lovely.
