yum malt loaf
Fitzio - u sound just like my friend who is down about switching to FF - I was down about it too even though in the back of my mind I kind of knew I would have to switch. As soon as I switched, no more jaundice, no more unhappy Jack, no more trying to cup feed him and express every 2 hours - it all resulted in a happy Jack and a very happy Mummy
There are times when he's lying on my chest, headbutting my boobs and trying to get to my nipples and it makes me sad but then I remember that I did what was best for both of us.
My friend is also annoyed at her OH - she says 'He thinks he's nanny McPhee' :rotfl:cos he takes over doing everything.
You know how to do it and even if you don't it's all trial & error - hell I was learning how to use my steriliser at 6.30am on Day 2 and I'm still learning stuff now.
Please come on here and chat (I miss you) and feel free to rant - I've done my fair share today!
Aww, thanks for missing me! I'm still chipping in on the PG thread, but most of the people I know from there have now given birth! There are loads of newbies now, so it's getting quite fast moving again. Need to make the move over here, but no way I can keep up with these chatterboxes!
I was expressing for about 4 days and feeding Holly with a syringe, so I know she got plenty of colostrum as there was no problem with my supply. I am still leaking milk 3 weeks on. It was mainly because my boobs were too big and heavy so she couldn't keep latched on. So even if you hadn't had your surgery, you could have had the same problems as me!! I know it's totally for the best, but it tugs at my heartstrings when she is rooting and crying and the kettle is boiling and I know it will be another 5 mins before the bottle is warm enough!
How are you getting on with Jack? You always sound like superwoman to me! I don't know how you manage to fit everything in. Your OH doesn't realise how lucky he is. I am still living on frozen batch cooked meals so not quite got back to housework yet ha ha.0 -
MM, did you see how Caz decorated her her girls' room? Pink wallpaper with circles on, I think.. Caz showed us it on eBay.. Want me to find it?0

Hello
Thanks for text - it made me realise I could access all my numbers after all
Fitzio - of course I miss you :grouphug: my almost due date buddy
I did the syringe feeding & cup feeding to give Jack my colostrum and then the small bit of milk that did come in. With my 'old' boobs the poor boy would have been squished! :rotfl:
Jack is fine - changing every day and putting weight on! He was 8lb 9oz on Tuesday! I didn;t get round to measuring his length though. He's been a bit grumpy tonight though, really screaming and nothing I did would calm him down - think its cos he slept all afternoon. Also, he knew Mummy & Daddy were going to try and get an early night
Annoyed cos I wanted an early night but now I'm stuck here with him attached to my chest and I daren't put him down and sort the washing out that's staring at me! Oh well, he's due a feed between now and 1.30am then I'm off to bed!A very busy Yummy Mummy to a 1 year old gorgeous boy :smileyhea

We are giving her a pink carpet as she has a laminate floor at the minute, and not sure yet what is going on the walls and white furniture. Really want to get her a pretty dressing table or desk, but they are all sooo expensive !!The two best things I have done with my life
