january grocery challenge, feed 4 of us for £400 -
bright green tank top with checkie shirt underneath with a little green line running through and stone coloured cords. All from next bought at boot sale.
Sounds lovely. Similar to what Toby wore for my Brothers wedding - he had a white shirt, light blue linen trousers and a light blue tank top. Everyone said how nice he looked, and it was comfy for him, whilst still being smart.Stay-at-home, attached Mummy to a 23lb 10oz, 11 month old baby boy.0 -
sami, I think the haricots will be filling. Sometimes a haricot mash is used in place of mashed potato in posh restaurants
It'll have slightly higher protein than your average meal, but nowhere near Dr Atkins proportions
elle, I'm not so rough today thank goodness and no puking
I'm very relieved, cos after yesterdays sicking I couldn't see out of one eye, and was shaky, so childcare was slightly impairedtis in the oven now smells good!
oh dear at the lack of sight - eep!
T-shirt I don't know how good they are but you can get paper to print your own slogan onto and then iron on http://direct.tesco.com/q/R.100-3960.aspxmollythewestie wrote: »I don't have a bad back though- I have arthritis and have had my hips replaced if thats what you are thinking of.
As for poo stories, after a couple of days of constipation, she just did a "Mr Whippy special"(where she keeps pooing after the removal of the nappy and I try to catch the poo in a baby wipe!) And by the smell of her she has just filled another nappy too, although she seems incredibly pleased about it :rotfl:
ooh I do love when they take you by surprise like that! though I have no chance with Edgar his poop is really runny (I assume because he's BF coz Chris's were mr whippy stylee)0 -
Comms nurse just left. Rhys is now 7lb 14oz, gained 4oz in a week
Apparently we should be aiming for 7oz in a week but Rhys is a law unto himself so as long as he's gaining, that's alright for now.
Do babies start gaining more weight quicker with solids?Nurse asked what milk he was on, then said that she didn't think they'd change that yet. Surely they wouldn't suggest switching to formula(?!) so I assume she meant weaning but not yet
Think we need to start practising sitting up.. never really tried before but he's just sat on my knee, bolt upright for a few secs before he toppled0 -
Hi everyone,
I've just caught up from the past couple of days. I wrote replies to lots of people but then my lappy crashed and I lost my post and I don't have the patience to re-read all the posts so I can remember what I wrote.
I'll try and remember as much as I can...
Carla - is there any more news about your friend and her baby?
Weezl - yay to potential new mummy friend (and buggy hunting) and to hopefully good news about your maternity pay. Did your mum say congratulations to you?
MM - I love love love the phots of Jasmine and Dylan. Great that your appointment went well today too.
Elle - yay to the recent encouraging bloods. How cute is that photo with the heart imprint?!?
Sami - weeks and weeks ago you mentioned to me about buying a travel milk dispenser thingy from Tesco when I linked to a more expensive Avent one. I happened to be in Morrisons a couple of days later and found one there, so thank you for the heads up (it was around £1.90 if anyone is interested). I have been meaning to say thanks for ages but keep forgetting.0 -

We can count to 5 before Leila topples, usually to one side. She prefers to be standing than sitting and tries to climb up you. She's been sitting in her doughnut this afternoon looking like the cat that got the cream.
Rhys is really piling on the weight now :j. Remind me what he weighed when he was born. xxProud Mummy to Leila aged 1 whole year:j0 -
Yeah, does the climbing thing too.. apparently my hipbones make great steps and collarbones make great grab handles
He was 3lb 6oz0 -
oops! is it you that has trouble bending and was looking for a chair that wasn't low like a bouncey chair??
)
Yep thats me (Well remembered BTW!), I bought a Graco sweetpeace soother chair in the end, which until a few days ago, she hated with a passion and would scream her head off every time she went in it. But she now tolerates it for about 20 minutes at a time .Value of prizes 2010 - 2017: £8374 Wins 2022: Magic set

My hipbones and collarbones are non-existant on account of the layer of fat that covers them!!! 3 pounds off this week so I hope to rediscover them soon.Proud Mummy to Leila aged 1 whole year:j0
